“What a surprise...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 October 2013

We have had a holiday home in Ibiza for the last 4 years and this is the first time we have visited Bambuddha and what a lovely surprise it was. The setting was stunning with bamboo trees, subtle lighting and buddha statues giving a temple effect and a beautiful setting to have a meal in. With regards to the food, for starters we had lobster tail in a red curry sauce and grilled scallops in a mango and wasabi salsa. For mains we had a 24 hour slow cooked lamb and a sea bass in a yellow curry. All of which was divine with the exception that the sea bass was very boney which spoilt it somewhat. The service was first class and very attentive. Would definitely recommend!!

“Brilliant food in a stunning environment”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 October 2013

My wife and I ate at Bambuddah whilst in Ibiza for her 50th birthday last week, and had one of the best meals ever. First of all the setting is a series of 4 buildings in a Thai temple-like style set around an openair courtyard, with an abundance of bamboo trees and subtle up lighting, giving a beautiful and stunning environment and ambience.
For our starters we had Mussels in a light Thai broth, and Scallops with Mango Salsa and Wasabi powder, both of which were fantastic but the scallops were truly amazing. Main courses were Black Cod and Seaweed, and Confit Duck with Red Thai curry and mixed vegetables, both of which were absolutely delicious and subtly flavoured. Finally, we shared the selection of chocolate truffles (red Thai curry and coconut, Date, Fig, and Chilli). Don't let the unusual combination put you off, they were interesting and phenomally good.
All in all, this place is fantastic, the setting and quality of the food would be difficult to beat anywhere, and I'd recommend anyone who visits Ibiza to make the effort to go and try it out.

“Overpriced poor quality food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 October 2013 via mobile

What wonderful surroundings in a gorgeous setting.
However the service is arrogant and the food poor quality and grossly Overpriced.
I asked for a hot, spicy chicken green curry. To spice it up they drizzled chilli oil over the top and the chicken was not fresh but looked like that processed muck. Prawn crackers were nice though.
Only sell overpriced German and Japanese bottled beer, no nice local draught beer.
Bill was over £100 for two without starters or pud.
I just don't get it, save your money and try to find a nice local restaurant selling fresh local produce not this pretentious garbage.

“Great restaurant, great atmosphere....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 September 2013

Another hidden gem! Great decor - go and look at the website. It looks spectacular. Staff are quite helpful although a waiter broke a glass by my feet and didn't seem to care too much about sweeping up the broken glass. Had to call him back to do it properly! Food was lovely though - I had a great chicken pad thai. It's a bit off the beaten track and you'd probably want to go on somewhere afterwards. Overall though, was pleased we went. Definitely worth a visit!
