We got married in Ibiza at the beginning of June and required a hotel that not only catered for couples but also for families and our grand parents also. The Duquesa came recommended from friends who live in Santa Eulalia and it was outstanding! The rooms/apartments have everything you need. They are clean, all have air con, safes, 24 hr reception, bar, restaurant etc etc and the rooms have all the facilities you need to feel comfortable, whether your staying for a long weekend or two weeks. The hotel is 100 yards from the marina / beach which has fantastic restaurants and views and you are a stone throw away from Restaurant Row. The Duquesa also has a stunning pool on the roof. But best of all it hasn't any 18-30 idiots or characters from the programme 'Benidorm' staying there. If you do have a young family who crave live entertainment or big interaction this isn't the place for you. We had 50 guests at the wedding and a majority stayed at the Duquesa and no-one could fault it. We're staying there again in August. You wont be dissappointed unless you like loud music, screaming kids, cabaret singers and Karaoke, if you do book somewhere else. Hope this helps :-)

Room Tip: Walk out of the reception and turn right for the marina and stunning views and restaurants, turn lef...

In Santa Eularia, where you can try the other Ibiza, without the noise of the discos and the relaxing company of the Mediterranium, you must try and sleep here. Its an hotel with apartments, usually with two rooms, a kitchen and a huge living room. It was a very pleasant stay, both times ive been here, high quality service and very confortable to sleep and relax after a great day of beach and travel around the hippy Ibiza.

The great thing about this hotel is its location. Walk 50 yards one way and you hit the stylish marina with its great bars and restaurants. Walk 50 yards in the other direction and you are slap bang in the town centre amidst a wealth of more bars, shops and restaurants. The hotel itself has just 32 room-apartments some with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. All have air conditioning and flat screen TV and a small balcony. While the place is not in the luxury class it is bright, modern and comfortable. On the ground floor there is a small lounge area with in-house internet and a good cafe-bar. One surprise is a rooftop swimming pool and sunbathing area with sun beds and an honesty bar for residents. This is a great place for room only guests as the kitchenette area means there is no need to fork out in bars and cafes for breakfasts and endless coffees and other drinks. The Spar shop just across the road caters for most basics and necessities. We spent 10 days here in May and while the town itself was fairly busy, the hotel was quiet and we were often the only people on the rooftop. There is a degree of traffic noise especially during the 4am bin collection run but you have to expect some street noise in a town centre location. There is a huge choice of restaurants in the town covering most food styles. Santa Eulalia is Ibiza's second town and is not totally sold over to tourism so quite a few restaurants remain spanish tapas in style. One major plus was the attitude of the staff who were very friendly and nothing appeared to be too much trouble for them. This is a good standard hotel, set midway I would suggest, between a three and four star rating. If you want a good, clean, well maintained hotel, you will not be disappointed with the Duquesa. One big point is it is open all year, one of only a relative handful of Ibiza hotels which offers a 12 month service. The low point is that to get here from the UK in the winter you will probably have to fly via Barcelona or Palma. We also stayed here for a week in January where the central heating came into its own! We will happily go back to the Duquesa.

Room Tip: Go for a room opposite the lifts. We had 405 which had two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The soft furnishings in the bedrooms is dated and could do with a refurbishment, but this is my only negative review as the staff are friendly, it's in a great location and nice bar for a drink etc. The weather was too cold to use the pool area, which isn't that large so could be a problem during the summer months, but the beach is only at the top of the road. If you want value for money and nothing too fancy then this is the place to stay. We booked the car park which is a tight squeeze so only use if you have a small car. It is 8 euros per night but the spaces around the hotel are metered so you can't just park in one of these. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment on floor 1 and wasn't disturbed by any noise, as the second bedroom is away from the road, but the road wasn't a problem anyway as the bedrooms are double glazed. The balcony overlooks other apartments opposite so not the best view, but hey what do you expect for the money paid. Everything is on your doorstep so a really good location. You get a starter pack with dish cloth, small washing up liquid and pad, which is great and I wish more apart-hotels did this! Enjoyed our stay and a soft furnishing refurbishment would encourage me to perhaps return in the future.

Dear guest,
We appreciate your valuable comment and we hope that you had a lovely stay with us and we have taken your note about the furniture and it´s in our future plans to renew the furniture in the apartments and regarding the parking place, we have now extra places just 50 m away from us in a closed parking where you can park your car easily specially if it´s a big car.
We look forward to having you with us and till then, please receive all our sincere regards and our best holiday wishes.

What a lovely Hotel. On arrival the reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our apartment was excellent size and very clean and airy. There is a well equipped kitchen with all that you would need. There was a starter cleaner pack with a small sample of washing up liquid and a scourer and cloth which was great to get you started. They also left a bottle of water in the fridge which was appreciated. You need to ask for a kettle at reception. All equipment was spotlessly clean.
The bedroom was a very good size with plenty of storage space. The beds were comfortable.
The bathroom was again spotlessly clean with very bright spotlights which is great in a bathroom.
The fact that the hotel is set within a working street it can be a little noisy during the week with traffic in the morning but that didn't bother us as we don't go on holiday to laze in bed!
There is a lovely pool on the roof with sun beds. We went at the end of March so things hadn't really got started yet but there was a bar which I would imagine would be open once the season starts.
Can't comment on the food as we catered for ourselves for breakfast and lunch then ate in one of the many restaurants of an evening. There is a Spar supermarket just over the road and they sell everything you could want.
The Hotel is 2 mins from the harbour and 5 from a lovely sandy beach.
All in all we could not fault this Hotel and look forward to staying here again.

Perhaps the only thing that will make my review different is that we stayed here on the COLDEST weekend in years (during February 2012) and it even snowed. This was a last minute booking as we had already spent a very uncomfortable and cold night in a rental apartment in Asparagus Cala Llonga. We were desperate and Duquesa did not disappoint us. We were given a one bedroom apartment, very spacious and immaculate - and the best thing was that the heating worked perfectly. This building has been well constructed and maintained and everything is how and where it should be. Breakfast was included in the 55eur a night rate. Ok, so perhaps it was a bit basic, some cereals, cheese, cold meats, hard boiled eggs, yoghurt, fruit and some cakes that weren't particularly appetising, but it was sufficient to kick off the day and the freshly made coffee was good. The previous reviews mentioning the 'kettle on request' tip were helpful and we were given one from the Reception immediately. There are 2 or 3 home cooking take away places just steps away from the hotel, so if you don't fancy cooking, you can always get pizza, pasta, spanish stews, etc. Highly recommended. There is a Spar supermarket just over the road and another Sa Compra just around the corner. ie. you have everything on your doorstep and the marina just metres away. Absolutely no complaints, and after our first night of hell in Cala Llonga, it was equivalent to 5* luxury!!

Can only echo previous reviews. Couldn't fault the actual apartments - they were beautifully clean, comfortable and well appointed (just ask for a kettle) and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location - 5 minutes from buses, boats, beach and restaurants, and right by a couple of small supermarkets, so couldn't be more convenient. And the rooftop pool was a real plus for an end of the day dip and drink.

The only downside was the noise. It's on a fairly busy road so there is traffic noise during the day, and there is a large rubbish bin at one end of the apartments and recycling bins at the other. These are emptied at about 4am and did disturb us despite the double glazing. The management kindly moved us to a higher (and slightly larger apartment) and this was an improvement. So ask for an apartment on the top floor if you can. The two bedroomed apartments are slightly further away from the bins so may be better.

Santa Eulalia was the perfect base for our Ibiza holiday. A lovely town with a fabulous promenade, a good selection of restaurants (our favourites were The Gallery and Sandy's, both on the Restaurant Street) and a pretty good beach. But the big plus was the ease of getting to other parts of the island by boat or bus (Formentera is a must!) - we went somewhere different most days.

So would definitely recommend Santa Eulalia and the Duquesa Apartments, but they are perhaps not for you if you are a light sleeper.
