“lovely holiday”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2014

just got back from a week all inclusive at this Thomson gold hotel, location is fantastic, staff work very hard, we were very well looked after by Hayley and her team here, entertainment was varied, not always to my taste, but that's what makes us all different, there are other hotels to the back and to the sides of the hotel, one in particular is the Anfora, because entertainment is outside in the evening there was a lot of noise pollution coming from that hotel. The buffet style restaurant was very clean, the waiters never stop, food is replenished very quickly, the choice isn't vast, but we felt there was always something, we had roast beef with yorkie puds, one night, leg of Pork another, beef steak, Lancashire hot pot, fish dishes etc. Wednesday evening is gla night in the buffet restaurant, this was exceptional, mussels, shrimp, ham off the bone, fresh salmon, the list goes on, rooms were ok, air con works well, décor a little dated, but we only slept in it, The only little niggle we had was the bar, local alcoholic drinks are included in the AI package, international brands were available at a supplement, one of our party is a bitter drinker, they had Worthington on draught, 2 euro per pint, we paid this, the unfair bit is, you can upgrade for 12 euros per day, this still doesn't get you all of the drinks, Worthington was still 1.2 euro even with the upgrade, pointless upgrading, then on the other hand, Smirnoff vodka had to be paid for, Absolute Vodka free!! the last time I looked, Absolute Vodka was dearer than Smirnoff, backed up by the price of the bottles in the duty free shop, Smirnoff 11 euro, Absolute 16.90 euro, made no sense, Something for Thomson to work on!! All in all a lovely hotel, staff were great, very helpful, we had a great time!!!!

I stayed 4th – 11th August 2014. All Inclusive

The only good things I can say about this hotel are:
• Clean
• Tidy
• Modern
• Pool was lovely

Bad points – we booked with Thomson and this hotel was sold to us as a “Gold” holiday. I wouldn’t even class this hotel as copper let alone Gold, Silver or Bronze

• Food:
1. Was completely tasteless, soup tasted like warm water.
2. Only ever had 3 options.
3. all the meats were dry (even if they were in a sauce)
4. Although dinner was 7-9:30 the food was being taken away at 9:10, full trays of food was being taken away. If dinner is until 930 I should be able to get up to the counter until 930 to get food!!
• All public areas, main reception, bar area, dining hall etc. were all boiling hot, never any air-con on.
• Cocktails were out of a machine – so can’t say if there was actually alcohol in them.
• Not all drinks were all inclusive – had to pay extra for even some local spirits!
• I and my sister must have been invisible, waiters and waitresses completely walked past us to clear other tables even though ours was full.
• The day we arrived no reps spoke to us or acknowledged us, yet later in the week reps made a point of approaching new guests and introducing themselves.
• Our first day we spoke to a couple who didn’t like the hostel they were staying in so had decided to come to our hotel. Obviously they were paying for drinks and what not so that’s not my issue, my issue is:
1. There is a security guard on the main door – if these people came in what’s his purpose?
2. They are taking up sunbeds other people have paid for
• Every morning from 6:30am the maids would slide beds across the floor, open and close cupboards, slam doors.
• The signs up saying towels on sunbeds would be removed had no one come back to them within 2 hours was NEVER honoured!
• All Inclusive drinks were smaller and got very dirty looks if asked for large.

Room Tip: Don't bother paying for this hotel.

Arrived at Marina Panorama on 7th August for one weeks A.I.stay. Our 4th Gold hotel, 1st time in Ibiza. 20 minute transfer, quick check by welcoming staff, with a welcome drink. Room ready although it was only 10.30am. Our room was on the first floor with a pool view. Room very bright and were very clean with towels changed daily. Really comfortable bed, air-con wonderful although a little noisy, I found there to be plenty of wardrobe space and there was also a fridge in the room. Our bathroom was very clean, no complaints. Spacious balcony overlooking the pool and the stage area. Large pools, varying in areas and depths. Two very relaxing jacuzzis. We were up most days around 7.45 (early enough for a holiday) and went then to reserve sunbeds, the prime positions must be reserved at sunrise, although we were happy with the spot we chose near the main bar area. Although not all drinks on the menu are included in A.I. there are certainly plenty to choose from. Wines, sparkling wines, beers, spirits, soft drinks, hot drinks, cocktails and of course sangria. Snacks available during the day, but after a visit to the dining room there really is no need to indulge further! The food in the restaurant at all meal times is of a huge variety, there really is something for everyone. I really cannot understand people who complain about the food. The only problem we all had was deciding what to have!! All the food we tried was lovely, the beef was just perfect. All the staff in the restaurant (and all areas of the hotel) work very hard and your plates are soon removed from the table but with no rush to get you out of the restaurant! In other gold hotels men needed to wear long trousers each evening but they only need to long trousers on Gala night at the Panorama. The entertainment team, worked very hard, with a variety of activities through-out the day but no pressure to participate. Other Thompson reps available in the hotel if you needed anything. The entertainment at night was the usual resident duo, (ok) then an act at 10.00pm. We saw Bejing Acrobats (good) Beatles 2.0 tribute (very good) and the Tina Turner tribute (also very good).Singing and dancing followed again with the duo at 11.00. Plenty of seats in the outside entertainment area a selection of seats inside too. The piano seating area is lovely, so nice to relax in with a pre dinner cocktail. Area around the hotel flat and literally on the sea front. A 15 minute walk to the Hippy Market, well worth it but go early, it gets packed! Overall a really relaxing holiday and we all would book here again, although I agree with other reviews that the Thomson standard has dropped over the years.

Room Tip: Book a pool view in the new block.

Just returned from one week in hotel Panorama thought it might be 3 star before we went but definitely 4star. Very clean fab pool could always find a couple of sunbeds bar service busy but it is a peak time so a bit of manjarner. We were on 3rd floor side sea view overlooking charlies bar no problem with noise and I am a light sleeper. The hotel had plenty of staff who were always helpful. Food always hot and plenty of choice. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Room 3124 no problem with noise and nice side sea view.

We have just returned from 7 nights in the Hotel Panorama.
On arrival, check in was fast and efficient, drinks were handed to us which was a welcoming touch and reception staff were very friendly.
Our room was on the 5th floor (top floor) with a sea view which was beautiful! However the room itself didn't live up to all our expectations, the sleeping area was good and we were pleased with the size and comfort however the bathroom lets it down massively. One word to describe it would be DATED! It consisted of an old fashioned shower over bath set up with a clingy shower curtain, whilst we were happy enough with this, the cleanliness was a big disappointment. Hairs on the bathroom floor, in the bath and in the towels put us off hugely! It was great shame after we were on the such a high on arrival.

But on a more positive note as we did enjoy our stay overall, the staff are a huge credit to the hotel particularly the restaurant staff and the bar staff who were also very entertaining. Special mentions to the Thomson entertainment team of Tom & Hayley who worked tirelessly day and night to successfully keep guests entertained. They were a big hit!
The evening entertainment consisted of a 10pm main show every evening, each night was different and well worth watching!
Onto the restaurant/dining facilities, the food on offer was varied, some nights were excellent such as those serving roast pork and apple sauce, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding and a Chinese night. The pizzeria is worth a visit too! However on some nights there were some odd choices! At lunchtime we never actually ate in the restaurant as we preferred the offerings in the bar area from burgers to sausages to salad. The breakfast overall was ok too.
Most days we spent by the pool however this was an early morning effort! The hotel has signs that explain reserving sunbeds is not allowed but we soon realised this was not the case and that if you wanted a sunbed you would have to get up before 7:30am to get one. It is well worth it though as the pool area is lovely which lots of room in the pool to relax and the pool bar is only yards away located in the centre of the pool itself!
The only complaint we had during our holiday other than the bathroom cleanliness was with the thomson reps. We paid to go on the subset ibiza excursion however this was cancelled and we received a note from the thomson reps (George and Sarah) to say it was rearranged to the following evening to which we could attend. By this time the reps had left the hotel so we went to their desk to see the sign they had left informing us they would be available at 9am the next morning. Before breakfast we made our way to the desk at 9am, only to find the reps walking in the opposite direction, upon addressing them, George was abrupt in asking what we wanted. We told him we couldn't attend the rearranged date and his response to this was 'were just going for breakfast' which baffled us as their sign told us otherwise, we offered to come back later and all he could say was 'yes, come back later' this was not at all helpful as he didn't seem at all concerned by what our issue was. We were left feeling disheartened and disappointment in their service as we didn't expect him to be so rude.

All in all however, we had a wonderful holiday, the hotel was fantastic and the location was brilliant. We would definitely consider returning!

Hotel spotlessly clean, food very good and varied, staff very efficient and friendly, public rooms and outside areas very nice, but bedrooms and bathrooms need revamping, last mornings early breakfast (07-30) was very poor just a few cereals and sliced bread for toast, felt after the excellent breakfasts we had had on the days before this was a let down.

Room Tip: Rooms outlook are generally good, balconies small but adequate, bed rooms spotlessly clean but could...

This is our second time here and we brought along four other family members, making our party 10, with the confidence that they would like... And they did.

When we arrived we were told the hotel were not informed that we had three people to a room.. This was no fault of the hotel they could only go on what they had in front of them. They said they could do nothing until morning (it was midnight anyway so not a very long wait) but assured us when we got to our room there would be an extra bed for the third person (me :) ) . As promised, when we got there it was sorted. The next morning we were moved to a triple room with a pool view. Everything was done as quickly as it could have been done and the reception staff were very helpful :)

One of out party members suffers from celiac disease and she couldn't have been treated any better. She had a fresh, gluten free bread roll with every meal for 7 days. And she was shown around every meal time being told what she could and couldn't have... If there was nothing she liked or not a lot of choice something was cooked specially for her ( they won't let you go hungry). A special mention should go to Jose, the manager of the restaurant who bent over backwards for my friend. As he did for every other customer in the hotel when they walked into his restaurant. And I do believe there was an issue one night with some customers who were not dressed correctly for that evening (men had to wear trousers for one night in that whole week because it was a special gala night, everyone looked beautifully smart). Because of this they were told to come back later on that evening to have a meal when customers, who did dress accordingly, had left. Jose and a few of his staff stayed MUCH later than they should have to make sure the same customer service was given to these customers...

Bar staff! Well, just like last year the bar staff were faultless. Giving the best customer service possible all the time, even when you have seen them doing a full day 3 days in a row. A big mention to Salva (cocker) on his service as it was first class.

I know this is a long one but I just really want to stress what a place this is .. Yes people have bad experiences but for all ten of us, we were delighted and will defiantly be returning ... What an amazing place with amazing people and staff... Thank you for making me NOT want to come home..xoxox
