Hotel Tres Torres
Reviewed 5 August 2014

This is a clean well-organised hotel with friendly staff. However our eleven day, half-board stay for a couple with one child, was spoiled by two things; firstly the view of the car park - despite requesting a pool/sea view this was not forthcoming, even requesting a move to another room at some point during our stay was not met. One member of staff eventually told us that all pool/sea view rooms are double rooms therefore only suitable for couples. If this is correct it should be made clear to prospective holidaymakers at the outset. As all balconies are fronted by fairly high solid stone walls, those sitting out on balconies can only see the wall anyway. Our balcony was on the dark side of the hotel facing a dusty field and lots of cars so we never used it once. The second and most disappointing thing about this hotel was the food. Breakfasts were fine as was the good selection of salads in the nightly buffet but the hot food selection was overcooked, tasteless, rubbery and generally horrible. Go bed and breakfast at this hotel. So many reviews are saying the same as I am that you would think the hotel (if they are sensible and read Trip Advisor) would improve their food.

Room Tip: Don't go unless you get a pool/ sea view

Stayed at the Tres Torres in June'14 as we were drawn more to the'views' than the'reviews'. The photographic evidence displayed in the hotel's website & Thomson's replication of the room photos etc. gave us some expectation that it would probably be ok. Google earth gave us reassurance that the location couldn't be questioned so we thought we'd give it a go. Second visit to Ibiza but first time in Santa Eulalia.

Firstly the resort, Wow - it is very special and has everything. Probably the cleanest and most well constructed resort we've visited in any of the Balearics, lovely beaches, promenade, quality Marina, great shops & more excellent restaurants than you can shake a stick at + everything is spotless.

So what's the Tres Torres like? It's location couldn't be faulted, so near to the marina you could remove your yacht's barnacles from your balcony. Straight out of the hotel & on to the promenade so couldn't be better. Hotel staff were lovely, very accommodating and helpful. On arrival the friendly reception staff eventually removed us from our booked 'sea view' room that unfortunately had the slight problem of without x-ray vision, not actually having have a sea view.
From the hotel director to the cleaning team, all were very friendly & helpful. Restaurant staff appeared a little more surly and apart from the dining room manager the rest appeared to be not as pleasant as the rest of the team throughout the hotel. I'd probably put this down to the staffing quotas in the restaurant, because when the same staff rotated to other duties, they seemed less stressed, more happy & customer friendly.

Restaurant
Food on offer was, in the main, very good, plenty of options each day and changed regularly. Couple of minor gripes, one being that although there were plenty of drinks on offer at breakfast within the cost, in the evening if you needed a drink of any kind, you had to pay extra, even for a glass of water. Fair enough if you want wine, beer etc, but of you just want water it should be on offer same as breakfast.
Also for anyone who enjoys lighter options, the salad bar was lacking in the lettuce & greens department. Lettuce always (and I mean every day during our stay) looked past it's best. There were a few base salad items however many of the options were drenched with mayo and other high calorific additions which were defeating the object.

Rooms
Room we were eventually allocated was good & recently refurbished, except that the bathroom was 30 years behind the rest of the room. Don't spend my holiday in the bathroom so no big deal but the difference between the two was incredible and didn't match up. Also the floor of the balcony hadn't been upgraded, & the floor tiles were crumbling. Again no big deal but bemused as the the rational behind room renovation being done in instalments- walking from a 3/4* room into a 1*bathroom felt wierd.

Pool area
Pool area is very small & again in need of a makeover. The hotel publishes rules for not saving sunbeds before 9am but during our stay, guests were down as early as 6:50 am reserving sunbeds (most days before the cleanings staff arrived). No point in having & displaying rules if not enforced.
Both the pool area bar & the restaurant without a drinks menu - no idea what was on offer or cost so not particularly inviting to guests to stay and drink in the evening.

This hotel has massive potential - it has vital raw ingredients - location and good staff. Just needs to study feedback seriously and implement a few minor adjustment to elevate it another level.

Would definitely stay again no question, but hope that they can move forward a tad to satisfy customer needs.

Room Tip: Based on our experience - Classified 'Sea view' rooms vary - lower 1st floor rooms (away fr...

We have just spent 10 nights at this hotel and could not fault it, the rooms are clean and comfortable the staff can't do enought for you and if you like a good choice of food you will be delighted as we were, any one who comes out of the dining room hungry must be hard to please.
We would not hesitate to recomend this hotel. Another plus point is the resort it's beautiful.
If you have booked this hotel you are in for a lovely holiday. John&Jean. Manchester.

We stayed at the start of June in a large group. The hotel is situated perfectly for a nice quiet stay but within easy walking distance of the town centre and beachfront. Staff were friendly. This was a clean and tidy hotel, but not 4* - the restaurant food was adequate with a reasonable choice but no water at dinner was a surprise. Good spread for breakfast, again nothing special but you could have a decent fill. The big issue for me with the restaurant is that there is a rule for the evening that gents have to wear trousers - fair enough in a higher end establishment but this really isn't that. I was in tailored shorts and a polo shirt arguing the toss as to whether I could eat that night, and tracksuit bottoms and trainers was acceptable... common sense prevailed but it felt a bit fawlty towers.

There is a good lending library to pass the time by the pool. Loungers were abundantly available but it was early season and they may be in short supply when busier.

Tres Torres is situated fabulously for the marina and beachfront. Comfortable beds, good aircon and a nice shower. We didn't pay the earth, and so shouldn't expect it - but with a couple of quite easy tweaks, this could be a lovely little place to come back to.

Room Tip: The basic rooms are very small, worth the upgrade for something bigger. The smaller ones look out o...

We have just returned from 11 nights stay at this hotel and it was almost faultless .It was one of the first hotels to be built in the resort so it was a little vintage compared to the more modern ones and of course smaller, but, that was a bonus as we never had to queue or wait to be served ,and the staff we wonderful nothing was to much trouble ,always a smile and a greeting whatever time of day .The food was very good ,waiters were sharp and very attentive clearing dirty plates away from tables as soon as we finished each course and taking them straight into the kitchen ,so no trolleys with dirty plates or work stations where dishes were stacked ,which I am sure no one wants to see when eating .We had a wonderful view over the harbour and sea from our balcony and we walked straight out of the hotel onto the promenade .It was quiet at night so we slept well ,mainly couples and older guests although there was a childrens pool .The entertainment was low key but plenty to go to in resort if we wanted a more lively night .The only fault I found was our bathroom need a make over ,the room had been done and I think it was on the agenda to be upgraded at some point .Overall we found the hotel excellent and would not hesitate to stay there again .

Room Tip: High floor with sea view is a must !

My 3 friends and I have just spent 4 nights at the hotel and were really impressed. We'd booked an interconnecting room which consisted of a double room with bathroom and sofa and then a separate room at the back with its own large bathroom. The hotel was really clean, looked as though it had been recently painted and had very friendly and accommodating staff.
I'd highly recommend staying in this hotel and resort in Ibiza.

Room Tip: Room 101 was the room we had which had 101B adjoining it, perfect for a family or group of friends.

Had some doubts after reading reviews before we went in June, always stay a month so its a long time if hotel isn't that good. This year we found everything to be excellent except guests who grumble and expect 5* Plus. New head waiter who is excellent, lots of changes in the dining room, good choice of food. All the staff from reception, bar, waiters, chef and team all very friendly and helpful, the cleaners are excellent, friendly and work very hard. We have stayed at this hotel for many years and look forward to next year and will not take any notice of the bad reviews and the grumblers. The view from the 4th floor overlooking the marine is excellent you cannot put a price on it, Santa Eulailia is lovely, relaxing and still is traditional.

Room Tip: 4th Floor, room 412 excellent position.
