“3 star hotel not 4 star.”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

I felt it to be 3 star not 4 star. Not sure who awards stars. Great staff, very friendly, hard working and helpful. Best room 3rd floor overlooking pool and sea view. We had 1335. Food OK not great. Scrambled egg did not look or taste like scrambled egg. Think it may of been made with egg powder rather than real eggs. Lots of food available help yourself buffet. Also at evening meal times help yourself to as much beer, wine and soft drinks as you want. Although this was not abused, people only had a glass or two. We went half board. People that were full board all inclusive wore wrist bands. Our room had no bath only shower. Safe in room for valuables 19 euros a week and 20 euros deposit. Nice outdoor pool. Heated indoor pool. Good gym. Sauna not working. WiFi good in lobby, weak in some areas. Very clean hotel. Entertainment geared towards young children not adults. 10 minute walk to marina and beach. 2 minute walk to rocky shore at rear of hotel. To recap user friendly staff, plain food but lots of it. PS no double beds, only single ones pushed together.

Room Tip: 3rd floor best view. Some rooms have no bath.

Only one dull point was selection of food other than that the rest of our holiday was one of the best ever and that was mostly due to the 6 entertainment staff who made our holiday fantastic and became our friends and our kids loved them. Would highly recomend this place for familys as this is my 6th time on a family aa holiday and this bunch of folk made it the most pleasent

Just returned from a six day break at this hotel staying on an all inclusive basis. I think for the money we paid the hotel was very good. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment overlooking the pool, the rooms were quite comfortable but if a whole family was using them would have been cramped. The hotel was spotlessly cleAn all the staff were extremely helpful.
The hotel was fairly empty for the first few days but once filled up at the weekend there was a bit of a fight for the sun beds, would not like to stay here in school holidays.
The food was very good and a wide choice everyday, you could also get snacks from the bar. I found it strange to have to hire pool towels per day or buy your own, also the entertainment team were good for the kids but the evening entertainment was definitely the worse of any hotel I have stayed in, it consisted of a kids mini disco then The entertainment team miming to a variety of different music.
This hotel is located about 15 minute walk from santa eulalia and does not have any direct access to the beach.

Our overall feeling about this hotel was one of disappointment. Although i believe it was built in 2002 the decor was very 80s and rather tired. Having said that, the hotel, rooms and grounds were kept very clean. We arrived at 10.15pm were told the restaurant would be open until 10.30pm for us to get something cold to eat. Needless to say it took longer than 15mins to check in, find our room, get rid of our bags & find the restaurant. We got there a few minutes after 10.30 to find just cleaner mopping the floor and some plates of cold meat and cheese. There were some bread rolls but no sign of any butter. Not a brilliant start .....The following morning we went down to breakfast for the first and last time. While there was quite an array of food, it was poorly cooked & the hot choices were coldish. We preferred to make ourselves something in our room for the rest of our stay. The food in the evenings was generally poor quality, not very hot & by the end of the week repetitive - especially the puddings. The apartments were OK, not 4*, but just about adequate. We did have a lovely view of the sea from our balcony (room 1212). We only watched the entertainment one evening. They animation team seemed to be trying very hard .....There wasn't much to do around the hotel (apart from sitting around the pool). Not much in the way of 'tropic gardens' to wander round. One thing that did seem to be missing was anything in the way of signage to find your way to restaurant, lifts, sauna, bar etc. The walk to the town centre and the marina took about 10/15mins. Lots of good restaurants to choose from. We eat at Ca Na Ribes twice and it was excellent. The hotel didn't have much advice on where to go or what to do in the area & we saw little of the 'real' Ibiza during our visit. We were there mid May and had a few wet and very windy days. There seemed to be quite a lot of entertainment for young children, so perhaps it would be a good choice for those but not in my opinion for folks like us - of a more mature age! The staff were pleasant enough, but not over helpful. Won't be returning!

Just getting ready to leave the hotel after a weeks bed and breakfast with my husband. The weather hasn't been great with many windy days and some wet weather too. The bedrooms are very clean, basic and did the job. Booked a seaview room on the top floor which was lovely. Right next to the large corner room with a huge corner balcony including loungers but this would require booking before you come for around 160 euros. Looked fantastic though.rooms had a microwave, small cooker with toaster, kettle and enough cutlery and plates etc for basic self catering. Room also had a TV with only one English news channel. Balconies were big enough with 4 chairs and a table with a small clothes line which was handy.

Breakfast was ok with usual hot and cold food but struggled some mornings to get English tea bags as they frequently ran out. Went into town most days as there were plenty of nice restaurants to try out. We took a trip to Ibiza town and went by boat which cost 38 euros for two of us. It leaves from Santa Eulalia harbour and takes approx 1 hour. Not for the faint hearted though as there was a number of passengers requiring sick bags on the journey! A bus would also take you there if you prefer. Just ask for details at reception.

Take a cardigan or jacket with you for night time as it can be a bit cool with a cold breeze during the day also. We took approx 100 euros for day on a b n b basis and have still got some euros left for the next holiday.

Tips....I would take some tea bags and sugar for the room - buy milk at the supermarket across the road.
...... Ask for a high seaview room if you want stunning views and piece and quiet.
.......hotel will store your suitcases in a large room on floor -1 if you have a later flight, also will supply towels and shampoo if you wish a quick shower before you leave.
.......you can buy towels for around 8 euros at the supermarkets but personally we didn't as we didn't seem to need them.
....... Hotel Catalonia on the way down to the town is a 3 star Thomson Gold hotel with some good entertainment from 22.00 at night if you get bored.
........room safe 10 euros with a 20 euros refundable deposit.
........there are small supplies of shampoo, shower fell in the room to start you off.

All in all, a good holiday, at a family hotel, good location but pity about the weather. Think it would be mobbed with kids in the peak season as many were arriving as we are leaving so hotel looks a lot busier now.

Any questions, please just ask and I hope this review has been helpful.

Room Tip: Top floor seaview rooms are lovely. If you can afford it, pay extra for the large corner balconies w...

This is a very clean well run hotel. The facilities for families with children aged 0-12 are fantastic. The entertainment staff are wonderful with the children. All the staff from the cleaners to the reception we found to be excellent. My partner left some designer glasses by the pool area overnight and the staff had handed them into reception and we were pleasantly surprised to get them back!
I can't comment on the food as we did not eat there but a couple of guests said the food was very good by all inclusive standards.
Next the downside. We were a couple and found the hotel very noisy with children screaming and furniture dragging on the floors at all hours. There is virtually no adult entertainment or anything for the over 12s. There are rooms at the back of the hotel so be warned you could have a view of the street instead of the pool. Having said that I would not hesitate in recommending for families with kids. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the beach. Oh and don't forget to book a massage with Maria at the hotel she is wonderful.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view on a high floor.

Just enjoyed fabulous 2 week stay on AI basis (with Thomas Cook). Location - on the outskirts of the resort in a mainly residential area. Aprox 10 mins to marina, and further 5/10 mins to resort centre, along sea front promenade. Supermarket directly across the road. No direct access to sea front.

We stayed in one bedroom apartment (room 1311) on the top floor overlooking the pool, with sea view. Large bedroom, bathroom and balcony, but the living area did feel a little cramped. Good wardrobe space, but many of the hangers broken. Very clean but furnishings did look a bit tired. Microwave, hob, fridge. Safe available c €20 pw.

Food - main restaurant serving breakfast, lunch & evening meal. All self service. Can't complain about queues for food, but I don't think hotel was full. Pool bar served late breakfast, and lunch (chips, burgers, sandwiches etc). I thought the food was excellent. Plenty of choice - didn't have to repeat main meal during two week stay. Desserts were not that exciting. Wine was OK, but better when mixed with soft drink. Coffee machines only available in restaurant during breakfast. Cocktails fine, but a bit on the sweet side. We stuck to Cava which was very drinkable!

Pool area - kept amazingly clean, power washed on regular basis. Did get quiet busy second week and I can imagine a shortage of beds during peak season. Also, many of the beds were broken or so saggy you were almost on the floor! I had thought beds may have been repaired during closed season, but not so. You have to pay for Pool towels - €1.70 per day or €7.50 per week I think.

Staff - all staff were extermly pleasant and efficient. 6 memebers of the amimation team - with 2 more joining shortly. Activities started 10 every day - inc pistol shooting, volly ball, darts etc. and Kids club. Evening entertainment started with Kiddies disco 8.30, with main show 9.30. They tried very hard, but in all honesty not the best I've seen. Highlights - quiz nights & Grease, low light - Comedy Show. Outside entertainers once a week (Parrot Show, Reptile Show & cabaret singer) Shows currently inside (reminded me of a 70's working man's club) but move outdoors when warmer.

All in all a really good hotel and good value for money. Would be happy to go back.
