We love this place. It is right at the end of the marina area and across the road but well worth the effort. The food is really, really good, the staff excellent and the whole experience very rewarding - and the prices are also very reasonable for the quality of the food

For those that remember the traditional family run fish restaurants that were around in Mallorca/Menorca for many years - this is a fine example.

Father is the chef and daughter in charge of service. The paellas are outstanding, particularly the fish and also the Menorcan lobster.
The rest of the fish is all fresh and local and served simply with tasty veg.
For those looking for a 'modern take' on a fish restaurant I would suggest to look elsewhere.

But for the traditionalist it gets no better in the Balearics in my view.

Thank you very much for your oppinion. That's exactly what we pretend in the restaurant, good fish and seafood prepared in a tradicional way. Nice to see that people undestands our cooking.

Really baffled with the great reviews as our experience was not great. The croquetas de jamon I would expect to be great in every place in Spain. Here they weren't, super salty and with chunks of jamon rather than the creamy jamon filling I expect. Ordered the squid supposedly fried in olive oil and garlic. They tasted as if they were fried in vegetable oil and had almost raw garlics so I'm assuming those weren't in the frying pan while cooking! Plus it comes with fries and a fried egg. Too bizarre and definitely not yummy. It just felt like a plate of grease end-to-end. Avoid the place!

The meal started off with promise- we had Menorcan prawns with avocado, fish salad and grouper carpaccio- all delicious!
Then the disastrous mains - my husband's skate was not good value, small portion and poorly presented. My friend and I chose monkfish and shellfish casserole what a congealed mess! Mine had 3 mussels - 2 empty and 1 tightly shut. The prawns were tiny with shells on and impossible to get any meat, monkfish was bony and rubbery and the sauce tasted as if a large amount of cornflour had been added to thicken it - YUK!!!
We asked for the bill and left - don't understand how a well reviewed restaurant can serve up such a bad meal - would not recommend.

We fancied a paella one evening and walked the length of the harbour trying to find a restaurant that looked as though it may offer a good one. We eventually came to Jagaro which offers a large selection of paellas so gave it a try. The setting is not as good as other restaurants, but is not unpleasant. The interior is good and the service excellent. we had avocado and prawns, followed by the shellfish and cuttlefish paella accompanied by a lovely bottle of Mar de Frades albarino. Probably the best paella we've ever had! We'll be back.
