“Just dreamy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2014

We ate here twice for late lunches after a morning on the beach & it was very popular. This gave the place a buzzy atmosphere in the day . We drank here twice in the evening & found it to be much quieter .

Es Bruc is the sort of beach cafe that you dream about on wet winter days stuck in an office , perfectly situated right on the beach , with a scrumptious menu & the cold beer went down a treat on a hot day .

We had the fried sea food platter & mussels & tuna salad & breads , just the thing ,especially the mussels. The second visit we had the Menorcan cheese & sausage board & the fried octopus , sublime . Portion size is very good , the starter is the size of a main , so this compensates for the price.

Exactly what I had been dreaming about all winter- sun, sea, squid & Estella.

“Sunset Dinner or Shady Lunch?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2014

We have now been having a holiday in Menorca for 32 years, and over this time have seen this beachside restaurant improve and grow into the excellent establishment it now has become. We travel over the island to eat here, both for a light lunch of perhaps prawn salad ( huge fresh prawns!) or spanish omellette and also for a romantic sunset dinner for two of steak or fish.

It is true that lunchtime can be extremely busy, so get a table early if you can, but the service is good and the food (once ordered) arrives quickly.

Popular with all nationalities due to the fact that there is something on the menu to suit all palates.

Prices reasonable, and all in all comes Highly Recommended........

“Fabulous view - stick to simple food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2014

This is a favourite of ours and has been for many years. The setting and the view are stunning, but it's not haute cuisine or posh. Think 'beach bar'. Food is good but we stick to the cheaper end of the menu because we think that the more expensive stuff isn't very well done and not worth the money. The staff are great. You can go for breakfast and everything else up to dinner, or just go for a drink.

“Good beach bar looking out over great beach.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

We have been coming to Menorca for nearly 30 years and nearly always make a trip to Sant Tomas where the Es Bruc Beach bar fronts onto the great beach.
The trick for the food is to choose the fresh fish, which is really fresh and, unlike many other restaurants on Menorca, is great value. We reckoned we could not buy the fish at a decent fishmonger in England for the price of a full grilled fish at Es Bruc. Notable is the baby turbot. (We cannot comment on the other fare -- such as the burgers, but why order burgers when you can have such great fish?)
The salads are fresh and the beers cold. There is also a good value wine list.
On a sunny day, it is a great place to look out over the crystal clear sea. (And the sparrows are very friendly!)

“Bar restaurant on the beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2014

This establishment was once spit and sawdust! Not any more!
The restaurant is clean and tidy and well attended by their staff. Quite a good menu and the food is well cooked and tasty. Ideal to finish your meal and step on the beach for a sunset stroll.
