“Nice hotel but very noisy on the weekends due to the locals partying outside!”
Reviewed 4 June 2013

This is a nice hotel with lovely staff, food nice and fresh although a little repetitive. We stayed in a room on the roadside & the carpark opposite becomes a partying ground for the younger locals on Friday & Saturday nights between 00.00-06.00 blasting their music & racing their cars therefore we had no sleep for those two nights!! We did complain but were told there wasn't anything the hotel could do! Also the cleaners are very noisy when cleaning the rooms dragging the furniture across the marble floors & they begin just after 8am so don't expect any lay ins!!

This is the fourth time my husband and I have stayed at this hotel and we still love the hotel and the area. However, this time round we found the food at dinner time to be mostly unacceptable if you have any sort of food allergies. Between us we are allergic to tomatoes, fish and garlic, and there were only 2 nights out of the 7 where we were able to eat a meal. There are plenty of salad veg - lettuce, tomatoes, various mixed salad in mayonnaise etc, but no cheese or cold meat apart from occasionally garlic sausage. There seemed to be veal floating in a tomato style gravy on every single evening, and any other meat seemed to also be floating in this horrible tomatoey yuck. Too many of the items aren't well enough labelled either. I chose "rissoles" one evening and found some sort of grey liquid oozing out when I cut it open. One night we could eat absolutely nothing so we had to leave and go elsewhere for a meal, and on our final night I ended up with some chips on my plate and nothing else! Don't get me wrong, there were nights when they did have nice stuff on, but they tended to have all the decent food on the same night. If I were to return again it would be bed and breakfast only I think.

When we arrived at 10-30pm the first night, a cold salad had been left in our room for us. Unfortunately the air conditioning was switched off, the room like an oven and the salad was warm. Also no teaspoon to eat the yoghurt with as someone else earlier has commented on. This was the first time we had a meal left for us, as in the past we had been given the option of taking lunch one of the days instead.

This is still one of the nicest hotels in the resort despite the dire food. It is the nicest to look at, and is spotlessly clean inside. We had a room on the 6th floor overlooking the pool and the view over the sea was stunning. If the weather had been a bit nicer we would have spent longer on the balcony but we only had 1 sunny day out of 7 which was a bit disappointing. May seems to be a bad month to come here as we had the same problem at this time of year last year.

If you get the chance, walk right along past the railway station and up the back area to the more Spanish area - it's lovely and there is a tram car type lift that takes you right up the mountain where there are lots of benches and the views right over the sea are amazing

We stayed at this hotel for the Spanish Grand Prix and found the hotel fine, considering we padi £268 for 2 rooms half board for 5 nights. It's a 3 star hotel so we were not expecting luxury, the hotel is very basic. We were on a half board basis and the breakfast and dinner again were fine, nothing special but not terrible. I had lunch in the bar one day and was handed a microwaved burger with no garnish, cheese, etc so would advise to go elsewhere during the day.

We arrived on a Wednesday evening and parked outside the hotel, we had seen traffic signs but were unable to understand them as they were in Spanish. We asked the receptionist if we were parked in a suitable area and even pointed our car out and she agreed we were. When we went to leave the hotel the following morning the car was gone! We eventually managed to find out that the car had been towed as there was a market on (even though the car was not in the way of the market, it was parked on up the road). We had to find the police station, walk up and pay 122 euro to get our car back. This wasted quite a bit of time as the poice spoke no english and we spoke little spanish. The same thing also happened to another guest who was at reception and the police station at the same time as us.

When we checked out of the hotel we mentioned this to the receptionist and asked to see the manager to make a formal complaint. They were unable to locate him and after waiting for half an hour we decided to come back later. The reception manager informed us that they had 2 new receptionists start that week and admitted they may not have known about the parking. When we came back we had to wait another 15-20 minutes before the manager informed us it was not company policy to refund parking costs and that it was not the hotels fault, despite the parking information being given to us by reception. We eventually got half the money back but I am still not happy with this. Due to the mistake of the hotel we are still 60 euros out of pocket.

I am very disappointed as apart from this incident, we had a lovely time in the hotel. The staff were very friendly (even asking my stepfather when he was ill) and were always happy to help. The hotel car park is charged at 7 euro per day, but there is a large public car park right beside it, which is free and actually closer to the door of the hotel.

Went to this hotel for four days on the 5th of May 2013. The staff are so efficient and friendly, the hotel is spotlessly clean and the food was more than acceptable, there was something for everyones taste. Will definately be going again.

This was our second visit to this hotel and really can't fault it but the food sadly let it down. We arrived in the early hours of the morning, checked in with no problems and was told that a cold supper had been left in our room which was a nice touch. This consisted of a salad togerther with cold meats,a slice of cheese, 2 bread buns followed by an apple, peach and a yogurt. A knife and fork were supplied but no teaspoon for the yogurt, compromise we did and ate it with a fork !
The rooms are a little dated but very clean, we had just a standard room and still had a hairdryer in the bathroom which I wasn't expecting. Shower gel, tissues, soap and shampoo were also supplied. I must admit the walls are very thin as we could here snoring from the next room. We stayed here in October and the outdoor pool was very cold and certainly wasn't in much use even though the temperature reached 25 c each day. I realise there was an indoor pool but as the weather was warm we wanted to cool down outside. There were plenty of sunbeds however very uncomfortable without a lounger on top and for this was a charge of one euro.
We stayed half board and for us the food was poor in quality. Certainly there was a good choice but found it bland and the soup was often too salty. The coffee was awful as was the fruit juice at breakfast time. The bacon was very odd, don't think it was ' true ' bacon more of a formed meat with an odd texture and served sitting in a lot of fat. There was a good choice of breads and salads each day, in fact you would never go hungry.
Unfortunately I became ill whilst here and was taken to Callela hospital who I must say treated me promptly and efficiently. Just so pleased we had our E111 Cards and they gave me a printout of my visit listing symptoms, treatment etc together with an English translation which I could present to my own GP on my return. Couldn't fault the hospital staff they were very kind and caring.

I would agree with the other reviews this hotel is definately more like a four star hotel.
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend at beginning of october.
We were up graded to a premium room, had a king size bed, lovely and clean, lovely pool side view. The rooms are cleaned everyday and towels changed if you want them changed.
The staff were very friendly throughout the hotel, even though they couldn't speak much English they still made you feel welcome.
The food was excellent, alot of variety both at breakfast and dinner.
There was entertainment on every night which was good.
The beach is about five minutes walk from room to beach.
Bars, shops, restaurants only a couple of munutes away.
I'd definately go back to this hotel

We arrived at this hotel not expecting a lot, it was a lae booking and we wanted to visit the sister hotel in Santa Suzzanna, but could not get the extra days we wanted, thank god for that.
The reception staff with Monica at the helm could not do enough for us, they adored our little boy Andrew and constantly fussed over him , Juan the life guard constantly looked after him as well, the very first day we arrived he gave him a set of arm bands(free), and then a pair of googles(free), the food was well prepared and plentiful and had themed nights like mexican , american , and chinese, lashing of bacon eggs beans and bangers for breakfast, you could also have boiled eggs or sparling wine, huge amounts of breads also, we paid 650euro for 10 days full board, I mean where are you going to get a deal like that?We had 2 rain days , but this hotel has a heated indoor pool and gym, and table tennis and kids club with an excellent animation team headed by Sol, with Nathan , and Freerk.
Our Little boy was loved by everyone, he is just 3 years old but learned to swim underwater while there.
The room we had was on the first floor, perfect, and our room attendant Ana was superb, the girl looked after our room 100%, nothing was too much for the staff , even washed our laundry for free, can you credit that ?
This hotel is a credit to the management and staff, the building certainly a little dated, but credit where credit is due, I have to give it excellence on the amazing staff, definitely a hotel my family and I will return too.
