Food was excellent and sice we ordered the days special, the price was very reasonable. In the weekends you do need to book a table

We visited on a Monday early in May. Nice drive out from where we were staying near Hereford. The pub has a great location overlooking the river so eating in or out offers good views of the river. The lunch time menu was more than adequate and our group of three sampled the sirloin steak and the battered cod. Food was very good. All in all worth a visit. They do get you on the parking though. Once there you have no alternative but to pay and display and charges are not on the low side.

Wow! A little gem. I'd like to tell everyone and no-one at the same time! Gorgeous spring lamb Sunday roast, sitting in the sun overlooking the river. Even can't wait to go back when it's raining- to sit in front of the log burner!

Arriving at 1430 hrs on a Friday the lunch service was finished - "But we can do a Baguette" I had the huge meat ploughmans and my partner a delicious steak sandwich with great side of chips. The place itself is approached by a very steep winding road with a number of pay and display carparks and great view of the river. Would recommend this place in better weather and at an earlier time.

Nice staff, nice place, not cheap for that kind of lunch though

The restaurant was fully booked for the whole weekend but we were lucky enough to get a table in the bar area with a wonderful view of the Wye. Food was superb, we had a sharing fish platter to start and then main course each which were well priced and large!. Very good service in the bar and good selection of wine and local real ales. The location is wonderful for the views and walking and as they also have rooms we will be back in the Winter to stay for a weekend.
