Had a wander round Symonds Yat in the sunshine and ended up here for lunch. Quite busy so food took a little time to arrive but the view made up for it. Food was really good and not bad value either. Some of the decor could do with some tlc and I will add though that it got a little smoky inside the pub from the kitchen area.

Only stopped off for a drink on our walk but it was friendly and OK tables and chairs at the side of the river and place to launch canoes.

The Old Ferrie Inn is a pleasant pub with friendly staff, fair food and lovely beer.
Presumably the pub expects trade from canoeists on the river and I am really surprised that apart from providing a single rope from the towpath down to the river the owners have made no effort to help visitors access the pub up the very steep and slippery bank: a real challenge and a health and safety issue.
I guess steps would be costly to provide but they would certainly make the Inn much easier to get to!

Very picturesque, great for outdoor seating by the river :-).

Coke float was an unusual treat as you don't see them very often these days!
