“Lovely Beach”
Reviewed 5 March 2014

My mum lives within walking distance to this beach and I love it!! It is clean and well maintained, there are toilets and a small shop which sells food and a few beach essentials.

This beach even now has its own lifeguard!

“Excellent Beach”
Reviewed 18 February 2014

I am local to this beach and its my prefered choice.Parking is very limited during nice weather so if you can walk there do so.Surrounded by high chalk cliffs it is good for the young to go exploring ,you can still see some of the smugglers tunnels if you go looking for them when walking at low tide from here round to Joss Bay which is a nice walk and lovely views.

“Sand, views, caves and history”
Reviewed 1 October 2013

A sandy bay by Kingsgate (between Broadstairs and Margate). It was the site of the battle of Botany Bay, between smugglers and excisemen. The excisemen won, I'm pleased to say. It gets used by, er, 'courting couples', who leave evidence of their 'courting', so you need to watch that but that aside, it's a delightful place to visit. We saw kitesurfers as well as myriad dog walkers, bathers and families enjoying the sands.

“Our Favourite Beach”
Reviewed 7 September 2013

We love Botany Bay and cannot say enough good things about it. It's especially pretty when the tide is out. There are no amusements, etc. that you have to tolerate at Margate or Hastings so it really suits us. We tend to go down to the beach to swim, play, explore, etc. and then picnic on the grass at the top which saves having to carry all of the food, etc. down to the beach...and it keeps the sand out of your sandwiches!!

Its a very clean beach and parking is free.
