“A beautiful place to stay and enjoy.”
Reviewed 3 April 2014

Stayed for three nights. I was met by a lovely lady on reception. Plus David the manager. Both really friendly and professional. The room was one of the best rooms I have stayed in! The steaks are superb. All the staff are helpful and gave me great service. Overall a very relaxing place to stay. Enjoying a glass of Champagne each evening!

Went there on MOTHERS DAY.The staff were excellent We felt that the poor chap carving meat could have done with help as the queue was far too long.Well worth the money and we will certainly go again.Last comment ,the bar staff are brilliant.

Was looking forward to surprising my hubby with a weekend at the Botany Bay as We had our first date there 10years ago. Unfortunately they haven't got disabled rooms. Disabled access but not disabled. There's a big difference. Why in today's would are such a big section of society forgotten? This place has just been refurbished for goodness sake!

Will be sharing this disappointing news with the local disability groups We belong to. Word of mouth is so important to these places but this word of mouth will not be good.

We are sorry to see that you are disappointed by the recent refurbishment of the Botany Bay Hotel.

The project included a significant improvement to the hotel’s facilities for guests with disabilities. These include level access to most trading areas including the new terrace, and the introduction of ramp access and a powered door adjacent to the front entrance. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet off the main bar, and a lowered bar counter has been installed.

The hotel also has a bedroom with enhanced accessibility, including a wide door, large floor space, grab rails in the bathroom and a lowered bath. This room has been redecorated throughout, in line with the rest of the hotel. We also have two dedicated parking spaces for disabled guests.

If you have any further questions regarding these facilities, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

We have visited, for many years, this year was the best ever. The new young managers have really improved the food, and as always the staff were fantasic. Never a bad word to say. Hotel due for total change, this will only improve the place, will return when reopened.

We stayed here over the October half term, it is on the coast with good sea views, it was unfortunately covered in scaffolding prior to a major refurb.
The family room was neat and clean and fine for a family of 3 but facing the car park.
The breakfast was hit and miss, you could be in a number of different rooms within the hotel and the choice of breakfast (size & consistency) differ depending on the chef.
The evening dinner service and bar staff were all friendly and helpful.
As a base it is a great spot that we would go back to but we may request sea views next time.

Was here for wedding. Everything was well organised and food was good. The hotel is good value for money and has sea views. For a three star is excellent. We had a very large and comfortable room with sea views.Staff friendly and helpful.
