Nicely refurbished good size room, very clean and well stocked with towels, toiletries, tea, coffee and bottled water. Good views out to sea and close to beach at Botany Bay.
Stayed on Sunday night, restaurant not open but bar meals were being served. Delicious starter, main course -fish and chips OK but could have been hotter.
Breakfast the following morning started off well nice selection of cereals etc. full cooked breakfast was plentiful but let down by service, plates arrived when we were only half way through our cereals and we were expected to lift our bowls so plates could be put down....... Leaving us to finish bowls of cereals held above plates of going cold hot breakfast.
It was a shame as the rest of service in hotel was good, reception, cleaning, bar etc.

Stayed at Fayreness hotel for many years, stayed at the new refurbished Botany Bay Hotel in July, our usual room 302 has been refurbished well except needs more towel rails and the flow of pressure from the shower is weak and toilet seat needs refitting ! The food we ate in the evening was very good, unfortunately the breakfast food and service spoilt our break there, after the waitress writes the order on a pad it is then put through a till which is sent to kitchen only several feet away, the "plate runners" then bring out the breakfast but do not know which tables to give it too, we were offered several breakfasts, tea and toast that didn't belong to us and a simple order of eggs on toast and bacon seemed to cause confusion, the next day the mushrooms were forgotten and bought out ten mins later greasy, the scrambled egg was not edible, after our third day we were actually dreading going down for breakfast. The hotel is kept spotless by the hard working cleaning staff. Friendly reception staff too.

This is a beautifully positioned, recently refurbished, and very comfortable hotel. It is sited on the cliftop overlooking Botany Bay and this sandy beach is only a short walk away. There is plenty of parking both in the roomy car park and along the clifftop.

We had be very large family room at the top of the hotel and it was perfect with excellent facilities.
Restaurant facilities include an al la cate restaurant and a large bar, serving dishes, including a very large fisherman's pie. Quality of food was average.

However this hotel is let down by the appalling service in its bar restaurant. We had to ask to order, and after an hour ask for our main course. Several other tables were also complaining at the wait. The reason was a lack of organisation and too few staff to deal with the peak (early)
dining time.

I would however recommend this hotel as I am sure they will sort the restaurant out due to the number of complaints.

I so wanted to fall in love with the place. I had heard good things about the position and the modernisation of the building, but the staff and service seriously let it down. The food was average. It was good, but not......amazingly tasty, you know? I won't go into too much detail, but we were ignored by the staff, so much so it was beyond rude. Maybe just go for a drink. Happy drinking x

Myself and my boyfriend spent a wonderful weekend at the Botany Bay hotel celebrating our anniversary. The service was brilliant and were treated so well. The decor was modern with a nautical theme but lovely non the less. Also a lovely beach right on the doorstep. Would definately recommend for a weekend away. Plus we didn't realise but you can take dogs there too! Would definately go back.
