“Lovely Place to Visit - the view is awesome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 May 2014

We stopped off here on way to Aviemore, and we had a picnic lunch on the benches outside by the road. The view was awesome. The Barracks are a little bit of history and would recommend up close and personal visit to this historic site.

We visited on a wet and miserable day and it brought home what daily life must have been like for those garrisoned here!

“Nice to stop and look”

We have passed the barracks many times and never stopped to take a look. We did this year, and will do again. Better signage would help to find it though.

“Historical”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 October 2013

Misty morning when we visited so it gave the Barracks a magical aura. After climbing the rather steep hill we were surpried to see we could enter without having to pay anything. Such an interesting site and a lot of information boards so it was easy to imagine how it looked when it was in use. Well worth a vistit if you are in the area.
