Very last minute to stay the night, we called and got a dinner bed and breakfast deal which was great. Nice clean room and staff were all very friendly (particularly the bald man who served our meals). Also very handy as they allowed pets. Location is fantastic with beautiful surroundings.

Room Tip: Room 116 was just fine for us! Decent size.

Booked this 2 days before I went, afer deciding on which one to stop at for the Cairngorms.
I was pleased on arrival: nothing outstanding - but comfortable to walk around without be bothered. I had booking a single bed rate room, as they was only me travelling. On arrival to the room, I was greeted with a double size bed "10/10" the room itself is spacious. but of need of modernisation. The heating is by a Electric heater on the wall - which gives of plenty of heat for the room (which i turned off - as it was too hot at times) the shower room has a very hot towel rail also, nice if you like the heat everywhere!!
Breakfast in the morning is not self service, you have a waiter.
The breakfast was ok...... but a few things missing like beans + hash browns (typical english)
My overall stay at the hotel was good.... I never made it to the bar, as i was tired from the Snowboarding, but would definetly book here again as i had a plesant stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to reception as the wifi is only available in reception or Lounge. Then you wi...

Had a night in this excellent hotel - Very friendly staff - and helpful! We have a family of 5 and a family room with a Double - Single and a bunk bed! WoW
Yep we all stayed and very reasonable price at £80 for us ALL for B&B
We went there to pick up our new pup and will definately stay again - as this place is ideally situated for the mountians and a short drive to most towns or cities in the north of scotland.
The Food at the bar is good - the breakfast - a choice of cereals with coffee tea and full cooked with toast jam etc - all good

Room Tip: Ask for the family room if you need it - we did and will not go to the chain hotels again as they ri...

Arrived Friday afternoon after a long drive from south of england. very warm welcome from reception, very friendly and helpful. informed us of meal times and location to get our ski gear.
Breakfast really nice and hearty, full english with all the extras, cereals, toast, big pot of tea or filter coffee, orange juice etc. lovely, evening meal very good food choice of 4 starters 4 mains, sweet trolley had at least four desserts. Located in a lovely village. drive to ski slopes in the morning around 20mins. roads really quiet.
Bar had a good selection of drinks and whisky galore, more types to try than you could think. All the staff were really friendly with a good knowledge of the local distilleries and different flavours.
Our room was really warm, clean and large. The linen was changed every day. Decor was a little dated but very welcoming.
Entertainment was low key but pleasant for a quiet evening.
The staff were so helpful, always kept us topped up with milk and sugar fro our room, Thank you for a lovely stay and making us feel so welcome. Keith & Tracey
Also thank you to Barbara & Graham from Ski Northwest who could not be more helpful in organising our skiing holiday for the week, basically we would recommend Highlander Hotel and Ski Northwest to any of our friends with confidence. Thank you

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us as part of your ski holiday. Would you believe that there is plenty of snow still on Cairngorm so if you have a spare weekend it would be great to welcome you a return visit.

We had an great deal at this hotel (via internet booking). The room was spacious and warm, breafast excellent and staff friendly and efficient. The building is a little old fashioned, but the location is perfect for skiing, walking and exploring the Cairngorms. Good parking and supermarket nearby.
