“Two night stay”
Reviewed 11 August 2014

We had a two night stay here with Dinner bed and breakfast.

The room was functional with the usual TV and other stuff.
It's very quiet, so you should have no trouble getting to sleep.

The Dinner was average fare, with a noticeably small Dinner Plate - I suppose to make the dinner look more than it was?

The WI-FI is no-existent - unless you're willing to camp out in Reception for the duration of your stay. I wish Hotels would get Powerline WIFI Boosters of even extra Routers placed around the Hotel- It's not expensive to do and it would keep your guests happy. WIFI is used by everyone these days and Hotels would be daft to ignore that.

The Manager on Reception when we were there provided excellent service.

Thank you for your review - I was disappointed that you felt that the dinner portions were small if anything we are regularly told that our portions are too generous. We have taken on board your comments about the Wifi coverage it is something we are currently looking into. We hope that these points will no deter you from making a return visit

Typical motor lodge-type hotel with large tour groups. Clean room although shower didn't get that hot. Nice lounge for customers with free wifi. Tasty full cooked breakfast included in price of room. Good service and friendly staff. Would stay again.

Booked on a 2 nights B&B with Dinner on first night. £99 total for 2 of us. Seemed too good to be true! We were wary, having read some of the reviews on this site.

We were not disappointed. Arrived 1430 (check in from 1500) to a warm, friendly welcome.

Room available. Large room and bathroom. Very clean . Clock radio by bedside. Not many hotels provide this and you wake up at night wondering what the time is. Excellent touch.

Sound proofing in room (35) could have been better. Sounded like we had a restless baby elephant upstairs, but no big deal. Overall hotel quietened down after 2300.

Service in restaurant was quick, efficient and friendly. Food was excellent. See photos.

A very enjoyable stay.

We stayed two nights in the hotel with dinner the first night. Food was wholesome and reasonable portions, Staff friendly and helpful especially in the restaurant, WiFi in reception/lounge only which was a bit disappointing, room was quite big and very clean with a good very big comfortable bed. The Hotel is bit dated and a little tired but good value just the same as a stopover/ bus tour hotel, Couldn't get a phone signal in our room but thats not the fault of the hotel. If I was in the Aviemore area climbing Munroes I would consider staying there again. PS nice breakfast but personal preference of mine.... please add beans to the full breakfast and heat up the porridge.

Thanks for your review and I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. We do offer baked beans but to give a bit of variation on a full cooked breakfast we change the days that they are offered on. Hopefully the next time you are staying with us they will be on!

Staying here for 2 nights with my parents, we were more than happy with the accommodation and service we received. The staff were pleasant efficient, and the manager showed an interest in us and made several helpful suggestions to enhance our service. The range of choice in the menu was perhaps a little limited, but the food was of good quality, and good sized portions. Whilst focussing on coach parties and tourists on short stays, it was certainly well run, efficient, and good value

Just returned from a three night stay at this hotel. I'll be honest, I only booked it because it was cheap and close to the hills I intended to climb over my stay. I wasn't expecting anything more than a bed for the night but boy oh boy was I pleasantly surprised. My welcome was so warm despite the reception staff being very busy.

My bedroom was big, spotless and well equipped. Dinner and breakfast were served by happy, efficient staff and the food was hot and plentiful.

Looking forward to my next visit, hopefully in the near future.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the road. Can be a bit noisy until about 10pm.
