This was our 2nd visit during 2005 (April & August) and was definitely the best B & B we have ever stayed in. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home immediately.
The house was surperb, bedrooms tastefully decorated and the scenery from the bedrooms breathtaking, especially when snow is on the mountains.
Home made biscuits on arrival were delicious and breakfast leisurely and plentiful.
It is ideally situated to explore the Grampian mountains and Highlands area. It is possible to have a leisurely drive to John O'Groats and back in a day (we have done this).
The Capercaillie Restaurant in Newtownmore is definately worth a visit.
Have noticed that this B & B is now in the process of being sold.
Pity as Shirlie & Chris are wonderful people. Hope the new owners continue this as a B & B and that the standards do not drop.
