“Fabulous Accommodation for our large group”
Reviewed 13 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

We've holidayed together as a group of 16-18 in the highlands for years. Usually we have been spread over 3 houses, although once we all stayed in one house..the chance to all be together was great but sadly the accommodation just didn't fulfil our needs.
when we saw Badenoch we thought we would try again.

what a revelation!

The house was absolutely wonderful. It held us all very comfortably. Had loads of space and plenty of rooms and bathrooms (essential).
It has a large kitchen with really good facilities to cook for such a large group. Being able to all sit and dine together was a real highlight.

The house was very warm..even without using the log burner. We did use it though and loved it, what's more wood was provided - a nice touch.

the pool table was in constant use, and now we would really miss it if it was not there. Sadly the dart board was no longer in place - but we consoled ourselves with another game of pool.

the beds were comfortable and are on the firm side.

the local area is really nice. there's a beautiful circular walk by the river Spey just down the road. there is also a lovely walking area about 30 mins away in the opposite direction.

Lastly I would like to express how wonderful Yvonne is to deal with. Although we didn't meet she was ready to help if we needed it and contributed to a very welcoming experience.

We have already booked again for next year.

“Great for big groups”

We were a group of 15, and we had a great time in Badenoch. The house was easy to find, and great location for exploring the Highlands. We really enjoyed sitting outside and using the bonfire. There was plenty of hot water, and the rooms were nice with pool table and football table, as well as log fire. Really great stay for a large group, with plenty of parking. The only thing was that some of the glasses needed an extra wash before using, but apart from that everything was perfect! We would definitely consider coming again and the owner was very helpful with notes on the kitchen table of useful information.

“Beautiful property”
Reviewed 4 June 2015 for a stay in March 2015

This was a fantastic find and perfect for a large group. Located within walking distance from the station, pubs/restaurants and town centre this fabulous house is amid beautiful scenery and has spectacular views. The interior was a bit tired in places and could do with a bit of a refresh but regardless it was well presented and fully equipt.

Group of 13 including 7 young children (4-11). House is extremely well equipped, everything we needed and more! Very easy to find and stunning views. We stayed a Weekend and loved the house, it really was perfect for a group of our size. Would I go back? Absolutely!!

“Fantastic house with everything you need, and in an amazing location.”

Wow, what can I say about this wonderful property that hasn't already been said in previous reviews?
As a group of four families with children from 12 to 24 this house served our needs in every way.
This house is ideally situated for the train station, local amenities, walking/climbing/cycling and is only an hour away from Inverness airport.
I would recommend the Wildcat walk for all abilities (not wheelchair or pushchairs though) and it's just five minutes away from Badenoch.
We WILL be back. Thank you Yvonne.

“Fantastic house for Christmas gathering”
Reviewed 28 December 2014 for a stay in December 2014

A lovely house with a lot of homely touches. The photo's on the website really do not do it justice. Especially liked the wide range of pictures and artwork displayed throughout the house. Comfortable and good solid quality furniture and fittings. Everything you could possibly need is provided. The property is extremely well kitted out, the only thing I can think is lacking is a couple of better knives.
The dining room, living room and kitchen are all well proportioned and very pleasant. Like other guests our teenagers liked the pool table in the games room! Upstairs equally good. Good range of bedrooms and modern bathrooms.
Lots of local info provided which was useful. We had a week of very varied weather but managed to do a couple of great walks from the house following parts of the wild cat trail. I would love to visit again in the summer and really get out into the hills. Newtonmore deserves its claim to be the walking centre of the area, there is a huge choice of walking with good signs and info everywhere..
Badenoch was the perfect house for our family Christmas week. We were provided with a real tree and the house had been decorated with lots of Chrismassy touches which was great. Many thanks to Yvonne for such a super place.
