Great place to stay, friendly hosts, clean accommodation very clean and a great place to say. Very quiet even when full. Shop offered great variety jewellery. Stayed for two days with a family of four. Will be back.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask when the observatory is open before you go if you are looking forward to seeing the stars

This place is so good, visit the Gemshop and buy a ring, sit out and feed the wildlife, they come to your feet! have a drink and then relax in the Spa! In Summer the Pool is so nice and relaxing. Great Place and the best Hosts.
Rodney Parker

Room Tip: Get a Spa Room and relax after a day in the Gemfields getting dirty - we really deserve it then. Do not forget to go to Graves Hill Road and Say Hi to Parker.

Rubyvale Motel is a great place to stay and very central to the gem fields and shops. Michael and Jane are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. This is my second stay there. The room are large and very comfortable. Would recommend this motel to anyone visiting the gem fields.

Room Tip: All rooms are great

My husband and elderly mother and I were lucky enough to spend three nights at The Rubyvale Motel and two days fossicking and experiencing life in the region. The motel is just great, so very clean and roomy with flat screen TV, hairdryer, fridge, table and chairs, microwave oven and much more. The bath is big and also a spa and there is plenty of room in the unit itself to sit relax and enjoy.
The owners were very helpful and nice people, friendly and easy to chat to. They have a beautiful shop in the reception area selling gems they have mined and cut.I was fortunate to be able to buy a beautiful golden yellow sapphire and still smile when it glistens in the light!
The town itself has a lovely coffee shop in the same building as another gem gallery and the local hotel has some very hearty meals on offer where everyone on holidays seems to gather at night.
All in all the Rubyvale Motel is one of the best little Motels I have stayed in and the cleanliness and hosts outstanding. Would happily stay again. Next time I would probably try the Telescope viewing on offer as well.
The airport is at Emerald so we hired a car to drive to Rubyvale, but that was just part of the trip and a chance to see the country and the little town of Sapphire on the way.

Room Tip: I think all rooms would be okay as the units are quite spread out from each other.

Wish we had stayed for longer but only had one night in this spacious cabin. It was beautifully equipped and had a homely feel which was great for a family of four. Location is quiet and relaxing. Unlike previous reviews we have found that the heating worked well on a cold winters night.
