On a recent holiday to New Zealand we had an amazing treat…we were taken to the Wild Earth Outdoor Kitchen & Cellar Door for lunch. It’s a small winery only 40 minutes from Queenstown, right on the Kawarau Gorge and surrounded by stunning scenery. The weather was damp and dreary that day but the hospitality that awaited us at Wild Earth was warm and welcoming.
We tried their superb food prepared in a pinot noir barrel cooker and washed it all down with a few bottles of their delicious wine! The service was great and the waitress, Chelsea, makes one hell of a great coffee :).
We loved their wine so much we brought 4 bottles of it back with us to the UK so we can savour the memory of that fantastic lunch back home. Well worth a trip.
