We went there for a couple of days .
This hotel look like nice only on their website ...
Old hotel , crew don't care about us , breakfast really poor ..
AirCon just enough to warm the room ...
The bubble in the bathroom flashed , I advise the room-boy , that still like that .. No so easy to take a shower in the dark ..

Will never go back there ..

We spent a day at the Hotel Seme Beach after a hectic week.

Pros: Wonderful view of the ocean...The weather was great at the time and we were able to walk a few metres into the waters
Horse rides available
A drink included in the gate pass amount
Generally good green place
A good view of the Mt. Cameroon
Close to the rocks that resulted from the 1990's lava flow.
Close to Dibuncha, the 'wettest' place in Cameroon.

Cons: Could do better with a little more cleanliness around the beach area
The seating areas around the beach were not very clean

I spent 3 faboulous nights at Seme beach hotel in August 2013 with my fiance and my family.

Before arriving I sent a e-mail to the hotel to book and I received an answer straight away. On our arrival the staff was very friendly, they were expecting us, the rooms were ready and the porter helped us with our luggage,

We stayed in a suite (couple) and a 2 bedroom flat (rest of the family). The rooms were very clean (including bathroom and toilets), the housekeeper was coming everyday to renew the towels and clean, very large and comfortable beds, nice hot water and bath tube with good water pressure, air conditioner was perfectly working. There are a TV and a fridge in each room if you want to store your own drinks. I would recommend as the hotel is far from the town center and you might want to have some middle-of-the-night-snacks in your room (available at the hotel but pricey).

As I wrote already the hotel is located far from Limbe town center but this location is Ideal for a nice calm retreat and if you want to go to visit a town the village of Bakingili is nearby and I am sure the hotel's staff will be happy to arrange everything for you. you can also visit Limbe, Buea, or do some trekking on the Mount Cameroon (4100m high!)

The restaurant of the hotel serves nice and fresh food, if you like fish this is the place to go for the fish option! the staff is great and they are quite flexible on the menus. The restaurant is also good for drinks only and they do cocktails.

The breakfast room is located in the main building where we were staying so it was very convenient. Continental breakfast is included in the room price, it is a buffet and you can eat plenty of fresh seasonal fruits, freshly baked bread, a choice of hot drink and pastries. Early in the morning from the breakfast room you can clearly see the peak of the Etinde Mount an its such a view! on one side Mountain and on the other side the Ocean. This place is really Magical.

There is also a bar in the main building where you can watch TV, play pool and baby foot.

The Spa is absolutely delightful, gym, sauna, steam room, massages, hydrotherapy... You name it they have it!! The service is at international standard, the staff is trained and the atmosphere is relaxing.

The hotel also have peal and rowing boats on the natural pool. The natural pool is very nice with fresh water but it is only for confirmed swimmer as there is a strong stream.

However, whether you choose to swim in the ocean or in the pool you are always watched after by trained and experienced lifeguards which makes the whole experience more enjoyable.

As for the beach, you will love this private, beautiful, authentic black sand beach. Water temperature is so pleasant, the waves are strong enough for some body-boarding (you can hire the board) but you can still enjoy a calm swim. It is a very clean beach it however closes at 6pm as the lifeguards finish their shift at that time. During the weekend you can enjoy some music on the beach!

Others facilities are a basketball court, a tennis court, a nightclub, and playing area for children, there are also horses if you fancy a ride.

As a world traveler I can say that this hotel deserves its 3 stars (++) it is a MUST GO if you go to Limbe ! I did really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend Seme beach to all kind of travelers. All the staff are both French and English speakers.

NB: Did you know that the hotel has its own mineral water factory next door ( very quiet dont worry), they extract the water from the Etinde Mount and produce Semme mineral water which I personally really like!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea-view

I stayed in a room and a suite at this hotel. The room was dated with an awful bed, I moved to the suite hoping things will get better, not. The suite was larger but stilll had old furniture and smelt just as musky.

The hotel has nice grounds with a river running through it and there is the black sand beach. However, the hotel was a distance away from any other sites and the town. The restaurant is pricey with mediocre food.

I was staying here for 3 nights and was not so much satisfied. We had problem with to get the room even if I booked and paid the hotel in advance. They could not find our booking and one man in the reception was not so nice actually. First when manager of the hotel came, our problem had been solved. He found all, both our booking and even payment.
The room was quite clean but a little worn. Advantage was that it was further down near the restaurant and it was nicer area than upstairs in the main building.
But, the breakfast room was something I never experienced. Disorder and confusion, rude waiter, not much to choose, just bread and butter, coffee and tea.
But, the restaurant was nice and they had good food and staff very nice.

Hotel is located several miles north of the central area of Limbe but is situated on a beautiful black sand beach. It is worth it for the beach alone! Grounds also have a nice freshwater river flowing through that has swimming areas designated. Food at the restaurant was very good, French inspired, yet pricey. As far as West African towns go, this one ranks highly on my list. From here you can arrange single to multi-day trips to explore and summit Mt.Cameroon. For birdwatchers, a trip to the jungle at the base of the mountain is a must as there are several endemic species found there. The botanical garden is fantastic. The wildlife center, where confiscated and rescued animals are cared for, is well worth a visit. There are great bakeries, restaurants, and a number of seaside hotels. The market is worth a look as well.

Stayed here twice. Why on earth will a hotel have French speaking staff in an English speaking region? Hotel is on a good location on the seashore-a bit far away from from the town(Limbe) ,about 6km I think. Staff at reception are friendly. Nice beach, I enjoyed this, for the bar, make sure you double check your bill!Restaurant is okay.Water heater was not working, I was told it will be repaired in a couple of minutes-never happened!

Room Tip: Okay, rooms closer to the shore are nicer. That way you can hear the waves
