To be fair my partner had gone here the day before and pre ordered land crab cooked two different ways. Baked and Curried. 2.5 kilos of them.
One Love has a narrow entrance you could easily miss from the road side. From the beach side it is easy to fine.
Not being unkind it looks like a beach shack restaurant on the beach. Very simple , rather rustic. Tables are on the sand in front, not many but enough. There are a couple of lounging areas in front of them and sun beds in front of those. Its beauty is its simplicity.
In the kitchen are Vipula and his ever smiling Mother who rules the place with a rod of iron. Several young waiters all eager to please and help where ever they can.
The food took a while but it was being freshly cooked and with the ambience and location and a cocktail served in half a water melon and a cold beer it really did not matter.
The Crab was so meaty, so tasty served with a delicious salad and lemon grass rice. Took a good hour to each and there was nothing wasted. Covered in the sauces when I finished.
The music is low keyed and not too loud or intrusive.
Others on the lounge area were enjoying the atmosphere and cocktails.
Restaurant was busy and the food all looked great, they specialse in Rice and Curry dishes, home cooked Mama style, no shortage of takers.
One added bonus for a fellow diner at the next table. He dropped his phone in the sand as he left. One of the waiters picked it up and went down the beach quite a distance to return it to him. Honest to goodness food and service.
