Owner description: While staying in Monteverde don’t miss the Sky Tram that will lead you up to the Continental Divide and to one of the highest mountains in the area.  Sky Tram is a guided tour where you can have the opportunity to observe the cloud forest outstanding biodiversity, the majestic Arenal Volcano and the Nicoya Gulf. The Sky Trek’s zip lines go from mountain to mountain, allowing you fly through a cable at speeds up to 40 miles per hour and heights of over 520 feet.  There are also 5 observation towers that surpass the cloud forest treetops, providing amazing panoramic views our company has a braking system that was superior to what I'd experienced in other places. The zip linesthemselvesare long and fast, when the clouds cleared, we were able to see the ocean, which was amazing. It is a really great experience.

“Adrenaline rush not for the faint at heart!”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

We purchased the tram/zip option. Our hearts raced as we zipped down 9 lines at more than 40+mph. Spectacular views when not cloudy. It is hard to believe we are racing above the tree tops. Bring a raincoat. Helmets, gloves, harness and training provided. Guides are methodical, professional and very attentive. Option to purchase photos from the first training zip. Small diner/nice bathrooms on property. Free Wi-Fi; We paid $71pp/$57 for students with IDs. Allow 1.5-2 hours.

“Great adventure!”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

We did the whole thing in Arenal -- first the walk, then the tram and then the zips. It was pouring rain so the walk was a little disappointing and our guide's English was hard to understand. The zips were fantastic though -- beautiful, fun, flying, free -- great for the whole family.

“Zip lines were awesome”
Reviewed 29 June 2014 via mobile

Did this as a family with two girls 9 & 13. Whole process was safe and professional. 10 zips that we're higher faster longer than anything we have done in US.
Opportunity to get some good pics in sky tram and on platforms but needs to be compact camera or GoPro Only downside was cost of pics at end. Too rich for our blood after cost of activity.
Overall favorite activity for our girls on this trip

“great views!”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

My daughters and I did the whole package: the hanging bridges, sky tram/zip lines, and then the herpetarium at the end (which is in the town, not at the Sky Trek place... which was nice, as it allowed us to do that on our own terms). Our guide for the hike was great--so knowledgeable! He pointed out all sorts of animals, trees, and plants. Then we took the tram to the top of the continental divide. It was only bad that we couldn't see far due to the clouds. Ziplining was a blast and I felt safe the whole time.

“Very fun!”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

We decided to do the whole thing. First we hiked through the cloud forest and over the hanging bridges. The guide was very knowledgable of the plants and animals and made the hike very fun and educational. The views are exceptional.
Next we took the skytram up to the ziplining area. The ziplines soar above the canopy and are very fun. One thing to be aware of is you may get your clothes dirty. If there is any rain or moisture, the ziplines can spray oily mud on your clothes. I suggest not wearing clothes you're too in love with. I found out the hard way. We actually got really dirty and it didn't all come out of our clothes.
