“A Week in Smolonje”
Reviewed 2 September 2018 for a stay in August 2018

I highly recommend staying at Villa Mosor.
The reviews are spot on. What a location, the views from the Villa are amazing. The rooms and facilities were perfect. The kids
loved it. Pool, jacuzzi and the brilliant weather, what more could you ask for.
The hosts were a lovely couple, Marijana and Robert. They pay a visit one time during your stay, bearing wine, liqueurs and
a traditional dish. Local supermarkets nearby. What was a lovely touch was that a bread van comes every morning right outside the Villa so you can buy freshly baked bread, pastries & croissants. Thank you M & R.
We hope to visit again in the near future.

“A recipe for a perfect vacation !”
Reviewed 1 September 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We have spent this summer 2 weeks in villa Mossor and we love the place.
Located in quiet and secluded village of Smolonje, away from crowded touristic tumult but still within sensible distance from Omis - the main area resort (11 km – approx. 10-15 min by car along the most picturesque road with breath taking views), has proven to be a perfect recipe for a family vacation.
There are local shops within 3 km distance offering basic groceries and - what is great - bakery van stops by every morning just outside of the house so no need to worry about fresh bread and croissants for breakfast. ( about 8:15 am though !) The area of Omis Riviera offers a lot of on-step attractions for activities oriented tourists ( a river trip in Cetina canyon , white rafting ( safe also for families with kids), zip wire slide experience, scuba diving in Brac) as well as for the more relaxed sightseeing fans. With some architecture dating back to IV century Omis offers a lot historical and magic places, plenty of restaurants and bars to chill out in the evening. We have also visited Split (very nice but crowded) and Kirka National Park. It is 1,2 hrs drive away (on motorway) but definitely worth seeing for its truly magnificent waterfalls.
The villa itself offers all the comforts one can expect. Wi-fied through out the whole facility, clean with tasty modern deco offers spacious living /dinning roomnand well equipped kitchen (a kettle, a toaster, coffee maker, bagel maker, oven, induction cooker, microwave, fridg plus all kitchen utensils.Additional fridge is also available in the garage). There are 5 bedrooms in the house ( 2 on the groundfloor- one of them en suite) and 3 upstairs. All of them very decent size with nice comfortable linens ( have been changed after a week together with the bathroom towels). There is also a spacious jacuzzi room with a terrace on the first floor. It is a lot of fun, but watch out , it requires a lot of discipline with chemistry supplements to keep the water nice and clean.
The sliding balcony doors (there is no insect net screen which is a bit of a letdown) in the kitchen/ dinning area downstairs leads out to a spacious, roofed ground floor terrace. Facing north and shaded throughout most of the day offers a bit of retreat area if you are tired of the sun. Perfect for reading and indulging yourself with a tranquil surrounding scenery. Exiting the terrace you will reach a swimming pool area . The swimming pool is approx. 28 sq.m big and 1.30 m deep with built in steps and declining bottom. Water is brilliantly refreshing, not too cold ( 28-30 C) and contains no chlorine! (very slightly salted with reverse osmosis). There is a shower stand, outer kitchen ( incl .water tap) and BBQ area at the back of the swimming pool area. All in stone mosaic theme and elements of pot greenery makes it both esthetic and very practical.
Last but not least the owners of the house are very nice and friendly couple. Extremely hospitable (local welcome treats on the arrival) and happy to offer any extra help you may require. R&M - thank you both for amazing vacation and the
soparnik evening which made the whole experience even more memorable.

villa mosor is a beautiful well equipped villa in a spectacular location. we were 2 families of 5 and there was plenty of room for all of us. the villa was immaculate and furnished to a very high standard.
there is a table tennis table in the garage which was used daily.the outside space is great with a large bbq and plenty of space and loungers for everyone and a lovely infinity pool - not big enough for lengths but lovely to relax and cool off in.
the reason we chose this location was its vicinity to all the activities nearby around the cetina river. we did the canyoning, rafting, sea kayaking and zipwire. the kids particularly enjoyed the 8 zipwires - the longest being 700m across a canyon - and the canyoning,
Omis is only 15 mins away by car and is lovely with plenty of nice restaurants and market stalls.
finally our hosts marijuana and Robert and their lovely family were fantastic. a welcome fruit basket - all grown by them was a lovely lunch surprise......and we spent a lovely evening chatting by the BBQ sampling their homemade red wine!
all in all the best villa we have stayed in .... and I forgot to even mention the hot tub and daily pickings of fresh figs!!

One of our best ever holidays in a superb villa. All possible needs met. Lovely bedrooms, all with e/s and air con, a very well appointed kitchen, brilliant infinity pool, bbq - and peace and quiet in the hills but within easy distance of Omis and the coast. Robert and Marijana are superb hosts.

“Amazing villa, great destination!!”
Reviewed 15 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Spent a week in Omis and stayed at Villa Mosor. The villa was amazing and fully equipped. Spent most of our time outside by the pool and took advantage of the gorgeous summer evenings. There was 10 of us that went and we are planning on making it an annual trip as we enjoyed it so much. A big thank you to the owners Robert and Marijana for the hospitality. They went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying our holiday. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone wanting to visit Croatia.
