“Pure serendipidy‎”
Reviewed 24 July 2013

Its worth the drive to outside of Biarritz.
Picture the scene....beautiful terrace facing willows, maple, bright hydrangeas and honey suckle A bucolic and romantic atmosphere reigns in this 17th century basque mill set against a verdant backdrop. The eatery is refined and full of pleasurable cooking scents. Its popular,so book!!
We had pigeonneau roti and homard caramelise, cremeuse et pinces croustillantes or a confit de tomate parfume aux epices.
Everything is beautifully presented and tasted superb. Choose local Irrouleguy wines to complement the dishes. Romance blooms here.

“Perfect menu”
Reviewed 23 July 2013

Always love to dine here but not always possible at short notice due to it being rather exclusive and with only the one chef. Every course is cooked to perfection and a choice of fine wines available. It is on the outskirts of the village of Arcangues but well worth the walk or journey by car. Look out for unusual bird life on your journey. You can always see cattle egrets in the fields and Belle the pyrenean mountain dog is loveable. Going again next Friday evening and really looking forward to it very much.

“What a fabulous meal”
Reviewed 7 July 2013

This is a tiny restaurant in a country area near a stream. May be the building was a converted barn with wonderful old beams and modern décor and was very comfortable . There was an amazing wine list and we choose a local wine from the Irrouleguy region. The food was quite outstanding . Each course was beautifully presented with real artistry and tasted even better. The staff were very helpful and spoke a little English. It was quite an expensive meal but we would definitely go again and enjoy the top class cuisine.

“FANTASTIC!”
Reviewed 10 April 2013

This restaurant is just a dream - it is very well located, in the nature just outside of Biarritz. It is a renovated mill, renovated with the best possible taste. Just the bathroom is worth the trip!!!!
The food is exquisite as well as the local wine.
Go there - it is a wonderful experience.

“Wonderful food in a wonderful setting”
Reviewed 13 October 2012

Have just enjoyed a wonderful evening of food and wine with friends.

The setting is an old windmill in a small village just outside Biarritz. If you are in the area it is definitely worth a visit, or a detour, but book as they are always busy.

All the food is very imaginative and beautifully put together from the nibble with your cocktail, the amuse bouche between three courses.

The menus are changed frequently. I had an amazing fish soup for Entries followed by Pigeon and finished with I can only call a celebration of chocolate.

The wine list is extensive. We enjoy several bottles of Poully Fume followed by a pleasant burgundy.

The chef and staff are very friendly and very enthusiastic about their profession.
highly recommended.
