Just come back from La Pergola using a Eurocamp Esprit unit. Hated the unit as it was far too cramped. The site is okay though very staged so if you're not keen on walking up hills you'll need to try for a lower down unit/pitch. Bakery was okay, takeaway was not okay. The onsite bar served drinks in plastic glasses which speaks for itself. The location of this site is great. If you're wanting nightlife then go elsewhere as this is an unspoilt region. Very scenic, the lakes, including Chalain are all turquoise and cool not cold. Pergola site is lakeside though very few units or pitches have lake views.

had a really pleasant rest-full one week break in a eurocamp cabin by the lakeside , the site has all you need and the pool area is a pleasant place to be , we walked around the lake one day it took us three hours , but worth it, take plenty of water and have an ice cream half way round, the end of the walk is along side the road on a designated pathway , euro camp staff really pleasant and helpfull, also while i was there i needed the doctor and the staff in reception arrange this for me , really quickly ,20 euro for the doc and 10.50 euro for antibiotics overall a really good holiday

Room Tip: book flexi plus euro tunnel travel ,as part of your euro camp deal, good value and the best service...

We had a quiet pitch next to the lake which was very nice. It was the first week of opening so was quiet anyway. The pool was very nice and a cover is being put on the smaller one. The restaurant and shop were basic but fine. You definitely need to drive to visit anywhere including the local baker or shop. There are some lovely places to visit locally and easy access to Switzerland makes for a good trip. As we were in a mobile we didn,t need the wash block but it is mixed, not something I would like. Also it is 20 euro deposit for a site pass. A nice place if you like rural.

Great campsite.caravans were nice and shaded with temps in the mid 30,s and full sunshine.the pools are cold but the lake is great for swimming.the onsite takeaway is to be steered clear of.the food is not great to say the least.the surrounding area is rural and great for walking or cycling.nice site in a great location overall.

The weather was awful for 1 and a half days here.
We turned up and the dutch people next door had taken all the plug sockets (as you share them). So had to do a bit of persuasion.to get some power. The pitches need better drainage though.
The lake was great with water that was quite mild. The canoeing was free for kids if prebooked the day before.and my son was well looked after by the instructors. The kids club was good and the boys liked their morning their whilst we caught up with washing.
The camp shop was surprisingly well stocked. In the communal shower/wash blocks they seemed to have a problem with electricity and everything was communal. There are plenty of shops in the local village as well as a pizzeria takeaway.
You have to get tokens for the washers and dryers at reception which is a reasonable walk away.
We took a trip to Switzerland on one wet day and took the La Cure to Nyon train and the ferry to Yvoire. BTW Yvoire is much cheaper to eat than Nyon.

Stayed with eurocamp - dirty van on arrival but once all the crumbs cleaned up and the table wiped off ok. Camp site ok clean toilets and showers and an ok restaurant nice pool and the regular evening entertainment was all fine.

The bakery on site was awful - one morning they were throwing croissants away that we're burnt and I perfected my request asking for croissants in a " differente couleur " go to the village bakers is what I say !!!

Very little to do on the doorstep of the campsite ther than walking etc so if you want to sightsee towns etc I would say stay somewhere else. The thermal baths in lons le saunier was little more than a salt water swimming pool which we seemed to visit on oap day !!! Not impressed .

We were not that far from Switzerland -around a 45 minute drive and that was beautiful.

Just a warning for caravanners - This is not a 5 star caravan site as the pitches are in really bad condition, the slopes on some of them are really bad and even with chocks and blocks it's really difficult to level the caravan. Also if you are considering using the fully serviced pitch facilities you can't because the drainage ditches on many of the pitches are above the caravan (because of the extreme slopes) My wife also hated the fact that the toilets are shared by men and women - not nice really. The site is ok and the area itself is well worth visiting.
