We stayed three nights at the hotel, and arriving fairly late in the evening, chose the hotel restaurant for our evening meal after a long drive up from the Dordogne. The €12 menu is somewhat limited in choice but I had been looking forward to some moules in any case as it we had spent the previous week or so inland. At €12, this was easily the cheapest evening meal we had encountered. Lovely salade normande for starters, my wife taking the terrine de poissons and giant portion of moules and frites followed by a carefully made mousse au chocolat to finish off. Re-terating, Very limited choice on the menu, but if there are choices that you like, exceedingly good value.
What isn't good value is the drinks - but the hotel is no different to anywhere in Normandy which does seem pricey for drinks. For a change, we chose cider. It was a delicious farm cider but €11 a 75cl bottle does seem a bit on the dear side, yet we paid even more the following night. I'll still give 5 star for value because Normandy is just expensive for drinks. Tip - if you want a beer (which tend to be about €4 per glass in the restaurants), there's a good locals' bar on the main street where you will pay €2.70 to €3.
We returned on the third night.
