Our three day stay was marred with ups and downs, location, room and facilities are good however our room was not available on arrival and on one of the other days of our stay had not been cleaned on our return at 4.30pm. We ate in the restaurant on one occasion and it was poor for food and service.

The Mecure is a very nice hotel and is especially convenient for travelers who are in the area to visit the WWII beaches in Normandy - it is only minutes away from Omaha Beach. The accommodations were comfortable, the service was good and they have an excellent breakfast buffet

We stumbled upon the Mecure after booking some not so good accommodation local to this resort. The staff were lovely when I presented and showed me a family room that was very suitable to our needs.
The room was large and very clean. On two levels with adults downstairs and children upstairs, beautifully appointed.
Breakfast on level one terrace was delicious. Dinner at adjoining golf club just as nice. Beautiful grounds with swimming pool and even a day spa. Lovely bar area.
The staff were all very very helpful friendly and lovely to deal with.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property.

Booked a duplex room for a family weekend in Normandy.

The hotel is situated in the middle of a golf club which makes it very pleasant and green and airy. It is near the Landing Beaches , which makes it ideal HQ if you plan a history trip. Surrounded by small picturesque villages, it is perfect for long strolls or driving trips.

Upon arrival we were wellcomed by a very polite front desk manager, who explained us everything about the hotel, amenities, services and surrounding area.

The room was medium in space (for a familly of four) but being a duplex gave everyone the privacy needed. It was clean with a balcony overlooking the pool area, but it was a bit rough around the corners on the "second floor" (wall parper hanging, and some other minor details) but in general it was good.

Breakfast area was a huge plus. Located on the 1st floor, with a huge balcony overlooking the parking and the golf court. Food quality was excellent with local products (especially excellent varietty of cheese) and fresly squeezed OJ (a Huge plus for me in a hotel's breakfast).

Another plus is the french billiards table on the ground floor that kept our kids busie while we were enjoying our drinks at the lobby every afternoon.

Overall, a good choise and highly recommended

This hotel is the perfect spot to stay, whilst touring the D-Day Landing battlefields. It is slightly out of the way, with, what seems a good golf course, judging by its popularity!

We did not use the Spa facilities, so cannot comment on them.

Our hotel room was comfortable, clean and overlooked the pool. The maid service was excellent. The breakfast were very good, with plenty to eat, even when the hotel was full.

The hotel itself is ideally situated, within easy car access of the Overlord Museum, and the D-Day landing beaches of Omaha. It is also easy to reach Bayeux which is delightful and definately well worth the visit.

The hotel is off the beaten track, which makes it very quiet and tranquil, especially after a long day. The pool area is alive with birdsong, making for a quiet and restful environment.

We will certainly return.
