This hotel seems high-priced. It was over 200 Euros for a one-night's stay. There are tennis courts, trails nearby leading to the Museum Abtsküche, which is a museum about old German schools, which has photographs of old Heiligenhaus and keys, locks and shoes made by local industry. There is a pond with swans and ducks across from the school museum and a café with coffee and cakes. The breakfast is very nice at the hotel with a buffet that has anything a westerner would care to have. There are no computers for guests to use and indoor exercise facilities could be improved, but the hotel is in a small town. The facilities are nice considering the location. Quiet rooms.

Had a week long team meeting here. Very nice semi-secluded wooded area. It was a nice backdrop view from our conference room. The staff was really friendly, food was decent, their English was nearly perfect, and they had a couple good recommendations for close places to go spend the time I had off (I had a car, your results may vary with public transit). My only complaint was that the blanket on the bed was barely big enough for me and I'm only 5'8" (1.7 meters). We also had a team cooking event there where the hotel chef guided us through preparing a full course dinner for ourselves. That was really fun.

Stayed here just one night here during the fair in Essen. Hotel seems far away from the main cities (Dortmund, Essen), however if you come with a car, it is well placed for reaching Essen fair grounds in the mornning.

Hotel is nicely maintained, has nice conference rooms and good restaurant to have a nice dinner. Rooms are comfortable, yet a bit outplaced if you leave in a second building away from the main building.

All in all - good to return here again for an overnight stay!
