Lovely hotel and resort! Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and safe rooms. Good food. Franco, our Guest Relations host, was exceptional and provided us with superlative attention and personalized service. Our stay was at the end of the tourist season. So because the hotel wasn't too busy, Franco offered to be our private tour guide for the day! He took us in his own car where we wanted to go (the Cave of Zeus) and showed us through the mountains and to many quaint little villages around central Crete that we would never have discovered had we been on our own. Franco provided local historical facts and cultural commentary that enriched our tour very much. We would stay at Knossos Beach Bungalows & Suites again and would definitely look for Franco!

We have spent a week at the village this summer and we didn't enjoy it as we expected: we were in a Group of 3 families with child 5 to 9 years old.
The village was probably a well known and mantained structure in the past years; Now instead we have found many disfunctions.
The bungalows are poorely furnished, bathrooms are old and showers not well mantained
The swimming pools are not clean and pool showers didn't work fine
The Beach was not been cleaned at night so it was full of algues and the recreative stuffs (pedalo, canoes, volley ecc) were not disposable for the clients un less from 10 to 12 and 15 to 17
We (children included) hated the food that was very unsutisfactory for quality and kind
The village moreover is settled in a part of crete that is very poor and not nice.
