We booked this villa at the last minute after the place we booked through Expedia did not have our reservation. I think this was a blessing in disguise! Stavros and his beautiful daughters were so wonderful and helped us with anything that we wanted. It was great value for money and also included free drop off and pick up from the port! As with past reviews, it is a little out of town, but the walk was not that bad! We found that we didn't want to catch the bus the one stop to Fira. Upon arrival we were offered iced coffees, which was lovely as it was a rather hot afternoon. I did not pay for the breakfast option, but my partner did, and each morning Stavros provided me with a coffee anyway! We definitely felt at home with Stavros and his family!!!

Nice Hotel with nice staff but badly located apprx. 30 min walking down the street to the beach and 20 min up the street to the bus stop. One stop to Fira (apprx. 30 min walk from the bus stop).
We paid 46 EUR per night in the end of August for a double room with ensuite bathroom and a little kitchenette (stove and fridge). Unfortunately though, you have to rent pots from the Ho(s)tel for 5 EUR per day. Pans are not available. No common kitchen.
The room was quite large, had a nice big bed. All rooms have balcony or a terrace and air con. Rooms are cleaned and towels are provided daily.
The Hotel offered a poorly breakfast for 5 EUR per person (one boiled eggs, butter, jam, juice, bit bread and a piece of cake).
The Hotel offers a pool and sun beds. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. You'll get picked up from the harbour and dropped off after checkout (also late at night or very early in the morning).

All the reviews about Stavros and his family's hospitality, friendliness and warmth are spot on! The pickup and drop off from the ferry was very seamless and their communication by email was prompt and helpful. Arriving on a hot afternoon, we were offered iced coffee/juice while we were checking in and Stavros even gave us a jug of wine to enjoy with dinner! The pool is small but very clean and enough shade to waste a warm, lazy afternoon away. The location is a bit out of town which is nice because you avoid the tourist hussle and bussle. Hiring quad bikes or scooters was very affordable and an absolute must if you want to explore the island's beaches and more- once again Stavros can organise hire of vehicles and have them dropped off to your doorstep as well as recommending many places to visit on the island. Rooms are simple but cleaned daily and have good airconditioning, each room having its own balcony with chairs and table to enjoy a twilight glass of wine or beer as the sun goes down. Thanks Stavros

I would give this place a 10/10 purely for hospitality. Stavros and his family are excellent hosts, going out of their way to make you feel right at home. Thank you so much for a fantastic trip to Karterados, Stavros and family!

My sister, father, and I spent two nights at Stavros Villas. They responded very quickly over email to our booking request and provided free transport to and from the port. The rooms were clean and quiet- second floor has a nice view, first floor does not. We rented scooters (which they arranged for us) because we wanted to see the whole island at our own pace, and therefore the slightly out-of-the-way location was not a problem. it was peaceful. The best part, and the main reason they get an "excellent" rating, is due to their service. It is family-run, and they truly care that their guests enjoy their experience. Of our whole two-week tour, this family was the most warm, considerate, and helpful. You can be confident that you will not go wrong here.

Had a wonderful stay at Stavros villa with couple of friends last week. The villa owner and his family were unbelievably friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfy. Surprisingly, there was room service at such a cheap rate. With a desire to have a bbq, we requested the villa owner to help shopping for the ingredients and we would pay him for the food. When we got back in the evening, they had everything prepared for us. What we had to do was just to sit down with a full table of bbq done and ready to eat food! Overall, its a worthy stay and good value for money !!!

Stavros is a lovely man with a lovely family. Felt very 'at home' staying here- welcoming and chilled environment. clean and well spaced rooms. Stavros collected and took us back to the port at 1am without us having to ask! Also good location wise - it's near Fira which has bus links across the island. Fantastic for price! Would absolutely recommend!!
