We stayed with our 2 children in July, our room (No.44) was very spacious, it had 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, plus a large terrace with table and chairs. It was great that the children had their own bedroom, with there own single beds. There was lots of storage for clothes and a huge dressing table (perfect for us girls) their was free air conditioning which was bliss, plus a free safe. There where black out curtains plus shutters on the windows, which was great too, so overall we were very happy with the room, the decoration on the walls and furniture, could be improved on. and the bathroom updated, there was a working hairdryer in the bathroom - not sure if that was very safe. The cleaners came in everyday and left the place SPOTLESS. The shower always had hot water. There was a tv in our room, but we only switched it on once and could not get a picture. This hotel is very nice, would suit couples more.

There is lots of seating for breakfast inside and out, breakfast was a huge buffet, there was something for everyone, cereals, nutella, fresh bread, cakes/muffins hams and cheese. yogurt/fruits, various other greek food to try. You could make greek coffee, but there needed to be more cups out. The hotel had a small pool which my children loved, it was quite quiet around the pool, lots of loungers available everyday. Although now and again, there was an influx of children from the hotel next door who came to use the pool, who where quite rowdy and unsupervised. There was a very steep bank to climb to get to some of the rooms, beware if you have mobility problems. The manager kindly carried our bags up this bank for us on arrival, which was a nice touch. There is wifi in the main hotel, but it is not available elsewhere, which is a shame. There is a childrens play area at the top of the bank, toy cars, a swing etc We had a view of the sea from our terrace. The hotel is in a good location, just across the road from the beach, there is a few supermarkets just up the road too, but not much else in the way of shops. So great for people who love the beach and pool. We went on 2 trips, one that took us all around the island, seeing all the sights, which was fabulous and the other took us on a glass bottom boat trip, bbq, snorkling etc - also excellent great fun. We ventured into Argostoli one day to, it was too hot to walk back with children, so we go a taxi. We we're half board, the evening meals at the hotel were average, not quality ingredients but huge. We recommend Bulters restaurant. The staff at The Princess Hotel where excellent and worked very hard to ensure we enjoyed our stay.

We (4 adults) found the rooms to be lovely & clean, and the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Breakfasts were fine apart from the horrid frankfurters which appeared every day! We never had to queue for food, and always had access to sunbeds. It is a peaceful and relaxing setting but I think children would be a bit bored. The greek night was awful - poor food and rubbish entertainment - the owners simply brought their rent-a crowd family to dance! The hotel is ideally situated for the best beach around, and a short walk from many good restaurants. We liked Butler's & Aqua Marina the best. i would recommend this hotel and this resort and will certainly go back.

Before we spent 6 nights in this hotel I emailed the owner to say I was worried about some of the comments on Trip Advisor, she replied to my email and assured me the problems and staff at fault were sorted. So off we went after spending 1 week in another hotel on the Island of Zakynthos a ferry ride away. First impressions were great, everything was beautiful, one problem I had was the fact we were told to make sure not to forget key on a night out as we would have to stay out all night as the hotel would be closed and nobody at reception. Breakfast was nice especially being greeted by beautiful kind and attentive staff, lovely fresh bread and staff were happy to try to source some foods on request .Fantastic fresh fruit sold all over the Island but TINNED FRUIT COCKTAIL was served for breakfast and we could not understand this especially when we had lovely Greek Yogurt to mix with it.?????. We bought lunch every day at the pool bar which was lovely and reasonably priced and freshly made. On holidays we have always liked to spend some time in the evenings at our hotel bar to meet the other guests and unwind and give the the hotel support, as however on returning first evening we were told by the bar man VIA the owner that we had to buy a bottle of wine that he wouldnt sell me 1 glass. We just got a bottle of water instead at the empty bar which continued to be empty all week and went to bed. From then on we spent our money elsewhere( except lunch) The bar staff were lovely and the cleaning staff were too. Some of staff were clearly under tremendous pressure from their boss. We have stayed on 9 Greek Islands in last few years and had it been our first visit to Greece we would never go again.Over all we found the owners very rude and ignored most of the guests!!!! we felt in the way!!!!.Why do people have to be like this. We are sorry we didnt heed the past reviews as everything else that has been said regarding management and atmosphere is so true.

We stayed at this hotel at the end of June. The experience was not what I expected at all. We have been lucky over the previous 2 years to visit 2 of the nicest hotels for attention to detail and friendliness, however, where this hotel looks the part on the surface cracks appear where athmosphere is key.
The rooms are small but thanks th the hard working maids are cleaned to the best of their ability albeit dated decor and furnishings, bathrooms require grouting, Guests on ground floors were asking to be put in higher rooms but when they saw how modern the ground floor rooms were in comparason the declined to move in favour or nicer ground floor rooms, so this should be taken into consideration to whether you prefer a nice refurbished room on the ground floor as to a dated room with a nicer balcony view. We were not charged for air con or safe but felt this was reflected in the price of the overall holiday
Breakfast nice if you are happy to stick to toast and cereal which we were. The young lady attending the breakfast area was very nice but we felt (as did she) her every move was being watched by management.
The pool is relaxing, no sunbed problems if anything this is where we were left thinking where were the other guests as you could count the other bathers on one hand ,there is a mix of nationalities so small talk with others was not to be. The pool was shared with a small scandinavian complex next door which is where the children seemed appear from..
Reception was very helpful and welcoming which is more than we could say for the manager who never said as much as a good morning when you tried to say good morning to him or a smile which as greece travellers we found just plain rude, he seemed to spend more time whipping the hard working staffs behinds than acknowledging the guests.
The hotel location however is great. A fantastic beach over the road with comfortable beds inc brolly for 8 euros, restaurants close (Butlers house lobster ravioli a must) many restaurants over rated so you need to judge for yourself. We as a couple enjoy a meal, drink and relaxiing drink at the hotel bar to end the night but the bar was deserted every night which was sad as it was a lovely setting beside the pool.
We didnt do the greek night (only 8 guests booked) as we found people we going out in search of athmosphere and chitchat elsewhere.
We had a lovely weeks holiday, hotel great if you want a base only but bear in mind it is a place to *arrive as strangers and leave as strangers*
Argostoli a beautiful 1.30 hour coastal walk away but leave a good 2 hours before you wish to dine there so you can give plenty of time to look around the shops.Taxi back to hotel 8 euros.
The apartments up the hill had best views of lassi sunsets and people we met in bars staying up there recommended staying there eg green olive and lorenzo apts especially were oftern recommended.
We found if you met people in the restaurants you would quite often meet the the next day on the beach, its a friendly resort, More friendlier hotels avaliable however

Room Tip: high floors for view. Ground floors for updated rooms

The hotel is in a perfect location near the beach and the many local restaurants. We don't have anything negative to say about the Princess. Helen on reception is lovely, friendly and always willing to help. The owner and all the family are very friendly. All the staff are helpful and hard working. Breakfasts are good as are the rooms. The pool is lovely and kept the kids entertained for hours. Would reccommend to anyone and will definitely return

I have to admit the hotel wasn't what I expected, but it got better as the days went on. We stayed for two weeks, the first week was so quiet and relaxing. No matter what time of the day there would always be a sun lounger spare, the food was average but large portions, so great for filling us up, the breakfast was poor but there were plenty to choose from (I just had cereal). By the second week it hit peak season and this is why I only rated it as average. The children were out of control, I went for a quiet swim and got jumped on by a boy who was diving into the MIDDLE of the pool, though I know this is the parents fault and not the staff but the staff in the morning watched it happen and didn't say anything, they continued to be reckless and drove all the couples away leaving the families by the pool. Just be prepared, if you want to complain you probably are not going to get listened too. The portions of the meals got smaller in the second week, and even became more expensive. One day we ordered a hamburger for 6.50 euros, the next day they advertised it as a special for 7.50 euros! Very cheeky. The hotel does look beautiful, and it is almost split personality. What you get in the morning is not what you get in the evening. The staff in the morning are always rushing around, not very attentive nor organised (apart from the lady on reception). In the evening the atmosphere is calm, relaxed the staff are friendly and will go out of their way for the costumers. I loved the hotel at night, Gerry and Julia were the perfect hosts and really made the holiday! The chamber maids were brilliant, we made such a mess of the floor with sun lotion spray and everyday it would be PROPERLY cleaned away. The views over looking the pool and the sea were pretty and you couldn't hear a thing from down below which was great when we wanted a quiet night. The pool is a great size (probably too small for children to play in, but ey, there is always the sea!) Very short walk to two lovely beaches, one Costa Costa with water sports, the other a very quiet beach just to relax. Easy walk to Argostoli if you follow the main road.

Really enjoyed our stay, hotel was great and staff really helpful especially Elena (I think that was her name) and the gentleman on reception they were both really lovely. Hotel was spotless and really can't find any faults at all. Breakfasts were fine, with plenty of choice, ie. cereals, pancakes, fruit, eggs plus lively Greek yogurt & honey.
Highly recommend this hotel.
