Great hotel. Staff very helpful and very friendly. Rooms very nice even though the bathroom needs updating. Sheets and towels changed every 2 days. Beds made daily by the excellent maids. Breakfast has a selection of hot and cold food.
Pool area is very clean and tidy. Could do with a few more sunbeds as guests save them early on and go out for the morning!
Mike the manager/ barman is very good and nothing is too much trouble. He told us of all the best places to go around the island and is very knowledgeable about the history of Kefalonia. Excellent fella! Would definitely return. Thanks for a lovely stay.

have just returned from a 10 day break at the princess hotel.what a great place to stay. from the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.we were shown to the room which was ok for what we needed (although it did need a bit of tlc but we don't go on holiday to sit in our room )it had a fridge safe and air con so all was good.the pool area and bar were very clean as was the rest of the hotel .the rooms were cleaned every day and the towels changed every other day.across the road from the hotel was the best beach on the island with a really nice beach bar/cafe with 2 sunbeds and brolly costing from 6 euro's.breakfast was good with enough to choose from( small hot section and plenty of bread cereal and meat and cheese and pastries) although orange juice instead of squash may have been better .we didn't use the restaurant in the evening so cannot comment on that but we did attend the greek night which was good fun.our favourite restaurant was butlers house good food good service and good prices would we return to this hotel ABSOLUTELY

We were very excited about our stay at the Princess hotel. 2 weeks before our arrival we recieved an email saying that due to it being end of season the hotel was closing part way through our stay so we would be transferred to a different hotel. We were then a bit skeptical as to how our stay would progress.
We arrived to sunshine and a friendly welcome. Our room was basic but nice and overlooked the pool with a bit of sea view. Things started well. The next morning brought rain and storms for 3 days. We also realised that most of the hotel guests were checking out. Breakfast wasnt fantastic...but it was ok if you are happy with toast croissants and cereal. I didnt brave the cooked stuff. Some days however the bread was stale which we found poor...even if they were coming to the end of season it doesnt take much to change the bread. The tvs in the room were very poor. It would have been great to have 1 or 2 english channels and maybe even dvd player to rent for those rainy days. I cannot fault the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff at the hotel. Its location was also perfect...right at the top of the slope of makris gialos beach and at the start of the strip or fantastic resturaunts in lassi. There was also 2 local mini markets 2 minutes walk away ... very handy.
In summary the hotel was good but could maybe do with a few basic updates! Such as the hairdryer. However we got a great deal pricewise so cant complain!! Would consider staying again!!

Stayed for 2 weeks from 21 September to 5 October. Hotel is in a great location opposite the main beach which is lovely and has excellent facilities. 8 euro for two posh sun beds and an umbrella per day, waiter service drinks and food and showers/loos/ wi fi etc. Hotel clean and attractive - cleaners excellent and thorough fresh towels each day. Our room was spacious with a large balcony - in a little block away from the main building which was very peaceful. Air con and shower good, bed and pillows a little hard but that's mainly a taste issue. Breakfast standard buffet with plenty to choose from, main selling point is pool area. Lovely pool in well maintained grounds, and good bar and food service all day for the pool area. Pool has lighting in which lights up blue and green at night is a very attractive place to have a nightcap when back for the evening. Staff are unfailingly polite and helpful, they are a credit to the hotel. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again, good 3 star and very reasonable when booked through sunshine holidays. Those commenting on breakfast being 'weird' and showers small - this hotel is one of the better 3 star places have stayed in greece - the breakfast is usually of this ilk - it's not a B and B in Blackpool! Definitely worth booking.

Hotel
We thought the hotel was very nice and the reception when we arrived was very friendly and simple, booked in signed for keys, valuables safe is in the room.
The room was spacious, small fridge, AC that was right and cooled room effectively. Bathroom was sufficient for what you need, no issues with hot water what so ever, in fact a cool shower was very refreshing after sitting I the heat and at the beach.
My wife had read a review that room 22 was over looking the pool and sent an email asking if we could have this room on our holiday, nothing received but on arrival at reception they told us we had been given the room, nice surprise.
Pool
Nice size and wasn't crowded, sun beds no problems although if the beach was not as close then may have been an issue, but we did pool till lunch then off to the beach was our choice.
Breakfast
Very satisfying no issues with this what so ever, plenty to choose from either hot or cold if you liked, also you could have a selection from all and as much as you wanted (especially if you have a growing teenager).
Restaurant
Can't quote on this as we never ate there but it looked very nice.
Lassi - restaurants
All serve the same style of food but we ate at a different one each night and then went back to 4 of our favourites towards the end of our holiday, Nefeli, Da Veronica's, Resitos, San Lorenzo, El Galbion, Sitauki - opposite Nefeli to name a few.
Beach
The beach was great, enough room for all, if you like sun beds then they have three areas to choose although a little close together. We chose buy a couple of umbrellas and beach mats, well worth the purchase, and settled in between two of the main beaches.

Room Tip: Free WIFi by pool bar and reception, our room (22) was overlooking pool and was able to pick up the pool bar WIFI.
