What a fabulous find. This hotel is just a perfect oasis in what can only be described as a dissappointing resort - Lassi is functional and centrally located however it is not attractive and has little charm or character. Dont let this put you off though as the scenery surrounding Lassi is spectacular and its a good base to explore the island from.
Having said that we did thoroughly enjoy our holiday on Kephalonia and for the most part that is down to the hotel. The hotel consists of 28 suites..so its small and has a lovely personal feel. The staff really get to know you. Effi and the other reception staff were fantastic; as was Sula the breakfast and lunch time waitress. They work so hard 7 days a week.
Our suite - No 21 was on the upper floor in a block of 8, had fabulous views of the mountain scenery and sea to both the front and back. It was scrupiously clean, had a superb balcony, the bedroom spacious with a huge very comfy superking sized bed, a living room with kitchenette (although they dont like you to cook in it?? but we had no intention of anyway) and a bathroom. If we had to find anything to 'complain' about it would be that for the size of the suite, the bathroom was very compact and had no separate shower...just a hand held shower attachment over the bath. It wasn't a big deal though and we could see past this.
Maid service was excellent - twice a day with fresh bed linen and towels in the morning and a turn down service at night.
Breakfast was delicious with a huge choice from cereals, continental selection, fresh fruit platters, fruit juices, croissants etc, delicious fresh breads, and a good cooked selection. We always left full which more often than not sustained us till mid afternoon.
The pool area was again scrupiously clean, and was absolutely amazing with views straight over the beach, sea and stunning coastline. There are plenty of sunbeds, each with a clean cover daily, with parasols to provide adequate shade. It was extremely hot whilst we were out there so this was essential. We also walked to the nearby Makris Giaolis beach - approx 10 min walk, and spent some days lazing on the sunbeds and swimming in the sea. Hiring 2 sunbeds and a parasol for the day was 8 Euros, a bit expensive but well worth it. A lovely albanian lad from the beach bar kept us supplied with cold drinks and lunchtime food which was excellent and reasonably priced.
The hotel pool bar supplied a range of drinks and served food from lunch time through to evening. At night they also served evening meals although the menu is a little limited. The food is delicious though so well worth eating there once or twice during your stay. We frequented Bar Trentis in the evenings and often watched the glorious sunsets from their terrace, but restaurants in Lassi were a bit dissappointing, of the ones we tried Nefeli and la Tramonata were the best.
By far the best option is to take a short 6 euro taxi ride into Argostoli and spend the evening here. Villianou square is pedestrianised at night and is a lively atmospheric place. We ate at the Captains Table (the one near the square not on the harbour front as there are 2), and Mythos which are on a street called Ristopatson directly off the square, and we found a lovely restaurant called Casa Grec on our last night which was amazing. Its tucked away on Metaxa street just off the square, near the Mirabel hotel. Argostoli harbour is also full of fabulous cruisers and yachts which are always great to go and see - we can but dream!
Hiring a car is essential if you want to see the rest of the island. A day driving up to Fiscardo via Assos and Myrtos beach is absolutely stunning, albeit on roads that cling to the mountainside. Views are amazing, and Fiscardo has kept some of its original venetian charm. Sami and Scala are also worth a visit.
We have had a great time. Enalion Suites is certainly the one to stay at and and we will certainly go back here one day.

We arranged to marry in Cephalonia and booked to stay at Enalion Suites from 15 June 2008 for 2 weeks. We hadn’t at this point arranged our wedding reception, this was something we planned to do once we arrived.

Enalion Suites charmed us from the moment we arrived. Set in beautiful gardens filling the air with the scent of roses and lavender, stood a small gathering of ground and first floor suites with stunning views of the glistening sea - Enalion captured a tranquillity of its own. It became apparent on arrival that the standard of Enalion Suites was high and we soon discovered the attention to detail in every area from maid service through to the restaurant, gardens, pool and pool bar areas. A perfect setting for our dream wedding reception we thought! We spoke to the hotel management about our thoughts and they were thrilled and willing to do whatever we requested. We opted for a champagne/meze reception after our ceremony (situated in the pool bar area) overlooking the sea, followed by an evening BBQ. We wanted a relaxed wedding so this suited us perfectly. Our guests were able to mingle in the gardens and even go for a paddle in the sea as the beach was only a couple of minutes away – perfect.
The Enalion staff pulled out all the stops for us, our tables were beautifully decorated with fresh rose petals from their gardens and colour themed balloons and ribbons. A big thank you to Efi on reception who arranged our wedding – you were amazing!

This was Enalion Suites first ever wedding and we would definitely recommend to anyone out there wishing to marry in Cephalonia. A perfect setting for our very special day….

We will most definitely be back!

Tessa & Simon, Staffs.

P.s. On submitting my review it seems that another wedding has already taken place !! Fantastic news!! Go Efi!!

we chose kefaloia for our wedding as we had been before and fell in love with the island. The enalion suites just stood out for us in the brochure.

We were pleasently surprised. The suites were huge, tastefuly decorated and imaculate. Staff were helpful and friendly and food was incredible. We had not planned to hold our reception there but it was too good an opportunity to miss.
Effi and staff could not have been more helpful. They surprised us with our breakfast tble and the wedding lunch was lovely. All these extras were done without us asking. I thoroughly recommend the enalion to anyone for a wedding party or honeymoon. We plan to go back again in the future.

We chose the Enalion Suites because of the reviews on here and we couldn't have found anywhere better. We booked through First Choice and had a week in a bungalow suite, which is a ground floor apartment with two bedrooms. Upon arrival, we were taken on a buggy cart to room 14, however the sea view from here was obstructed by bushes and trees and we were disappointed. We advised reception and within the hour we were moved to suite 25, which has fantastic views across the pool to the sea as do most of the suites. The sunsets were amazing.

The suite itself was ideal - absolutely spotless with maid service twice a day and very well appointed with an en-suite bathroom off the main bedroom, lovely toiletries, beach and pool towels, pads for the patio chairs, dressing gowns, slippers, hairdryer and even a bottle of the local and delicious Robola wine on arrival. There is a kitchen with microwave, fridge/freezer, oven and hob etc, however cooking is no longer permitted and it is just for making cold meals or heating childrens food. Our Rep wasn't aware of this change and was going to query it. We didn't need to cook though as the main street is a 5 minute stroll away and has enough restuarants/tavernas to try a new one every night for 2 weeks or more. We enjoyed Phaedra, Nefeli, Panorma and Oscars was good fun. The Exclusive Bar gave us somewhere nice and relaxed to have a drink and watch the entertainment and the supermarkets stocked good value beer and wine so we could sit on our patio with a drink. Lassi is very much one road through but it has everything that you need including lovely beaches and it's very close to the capital Argostoli which is a 30 minute walk away and has a larger selection of restaurants and shops.

So back to Enalion, which means 'In the Sea' apparently. The staff were extra friendly, the breakfast food so lovely and fresh; breads, cheese, hams, fresh fruit, cereals, juices, yogurt, honey, bacon, sausage, beans, toast - nothing missing and all in such a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Everywhere is beautifully maintained with flowers and herbs planted to fill the air with their scents. There is a small beach just down a path from the complex, where you can hire 2 loungers and parasol for 8 euro a day. If you don't like the sand in your toes then the pool at the Enalion was perfect. Very clean all round with lovely steamer style loungers with terry cotton covers on, which were changed daily.

Kefalonia itself was a delight. We hired a car for a couple of days from CBR on the main road and they were excellent. We toured the whole island and visited Fiskardo, Assos, Melisani Lakes, and Skala but our favourite places were Myrtos Beach and Sami.

We would definitely return to Kefalonia and absolutely would stay again at the Enalion Suites, which is more like 5 star. The whole holiday was just perfect.

We had a wonderful week at the Enalion Suites in early June. The hotel caters well for both couples and families, the rooms are of excellent quality with a sitting room, small kitchen area and balcony.

Breakfast offers a great choice of food, all included in the price and served from 7.30am to 10.30am. Lunches and drinks can be obtained by the pool all day at a reasonable price.

There is a lovely small pool for children to play in, probably no more than a foot deep, and the main pool is a decent size, all kept very clean. There was plenty of space around the pool when we were there so people could spread out. Also nice sofa's under pine trees and palm trees in case you want some shade during the day. There is also a beach which is accessible from the hotel.

Lassi is a five minute walk away, it is a strip of lots of taverna's and bars, the food is OK there, but it is worth taking a 6 euro taxi ride into Argostoli (5 mins) and eating there. We loved the bars in the square, especially the one in the bottom right hand corner which played some really cool, laid back music. Casa Grec and the Captains Table were both excellent in Argostoli.

It is worth seeking out the Finari road which runs from Lassi to Argostoli along the coast. There is a beautiful trendy bar along there after the lighthouse and before the waterwheel (can't remember it's name). It's quite a long walk and you would probably need to go by car or taxi but it's worth the effort.

We would definitely go back to this hotel again.
