Just returned from 2 weeks at the San Lorenzo Village in Lassi. The apartments exceeded our expectations (read all the excellent reviews and was not disappointed). The apartments are situated in 4 blocks around a lovely pool area with plenty of sunbeds to go round. The San Lorenzo is up a short steep hill (liturally takes 3 minutes to walk up) with beautiful views across the sea. The amazing beach is through the pine forest at the bottom of the hill, 5 minutes walk away. Lovely wooden sunbeds with thick matresses and beautiful clear water, perfect for young children (ours are 4 and 7). The beach had a very well equipped cafe that sold everything from salads, ice creams and a fully stocked bar. The uniform for the waitresses was a thong bikini (which our daughters thought was thoroughly amusing!!!). Bus to Argostoli was only a 5 minute ride away and worth a wonder round. Lots of shops, restaurants etc. Did a trip round the island (don't do the Thomson one, use one of the local travel companies, half the price and the tour guide was fantastic. Dogarati Caves, Melissani Lake, Murtos beach, Assos and Fiskardo well worth a visit. An absolutely beautiful island.

Lassi has plenty of resturants, all greek with a handful of shops and a few supermarkets. We choose the San Lorenzo after reading the brill reviews. We met people who were on their 11th consecutive visit, they love it so much, and others who had been there 4 times. We would definately return and recommend it to others. Mixture of people staying there from couples to families (not a place for groups of lad or lasses though) it's a lovely family run complex with beautiful gardens. Children's pool was great for the little ones and there was also a playground. It was one of the best holidays we have had, we'll be back!!!

Room Tip: room 127 corner room, 1 bed apartment, lovely garden.

This is my third visit to Lassi, never been disapoointed with it..
this was my first visit to San Lorenzo...I stayed at San Lorenzo at the begining of May, with my son, daughter, son in law and my 3 young grand children 3,2,1. We were very pleasantly surprised by the apartments on arrival, very well decorated, clean and well equipped. The staff we all very hard working and it is kept beautifully clean. We came back to a spotless apartment every day after our trips to the local beaches which are all amazing especially for kids, clean and very gently sloping into the sea. would Strongly recommend this place. The kids play area needs a little more thought put into it though.. There is a bit of a steep walk to the Apartments but was no problem even with pushchairs. shopping and kids !!
The local restaurants are all good, The Butlers house was amazing excellent food and service, even the washrooms/toilets are exceptional( have to be seen to be believed).
Da Veronicas is a favourite too. Everyone makes you welcome. Trata restaurant is also Very good but unfortunately had not yet opened on this trip.
The day trips on coachs are a must to see the sights of this lovely island if you don't want to drive..
A walk into Argostolli is easy but a taxi back is advisable just 5 euros.
I have just booked to go back to Lassi in Sept 2011. Can't wait.....

Room Tip: Didn't have a choice but they all looked good

we stayed at the SAN LORENZO VILLAGE lassi kefalonia it was our 2nd visit we got married this time and had 22 family members also go. everyone thought it was stunning , beautiful and very well matained exspecially for september which is late in the season. beautiful gardens always been looked after , wonderful staff and very friendly. The pool is perfect not to big and safe for the kids. Stunning views over the bay and hill drops behind. So much to do on your doorstep but away from the main strip but only 5 minute walk to the local bars and tavernas where you can get a wonderful choice of greek dishes all served with smiles and relaxing atmosphere. we are totally in love with kefalonia. A must for real greek lovers who like to relax in the perfect setting. We will be going back time after time.

We stayed at the San Lorenzo Village in Lassi for 7 nights from the 12/07/2011 until the 19/07/2011. We stayed in room 211, which was fully equipped with all equipment that you would usually expect from a self catering accommodation, including hair dryer, TV, DVD Player, Kettle, Toaster, Microwave etc, and even complimentary toiletries, chocolates, water, coffee, tea and milk.
The complex itself is small and friendly with only 45 rooms, it is very quiet and peaceful for a great nights sleep and relaxation during the day. The complex and the rooms were immaculately clean with clean towels everyday, and a daily maid service.
The San Lorenzo's beautiful gardens were incredibly well kept and had a wide array of trees and flowers. In addition, the view from the hotel is incredible as it is situated on the top of a hill, you have wide panoramic views of the mountains, gardens and the sea.
The complex had a very relaxing and friendly atmosphere and there was no early morning rush for sunbeds which were plentiful and the poolside parasols were one of a kind as they are made of palm branches. The pool area itself is also immaculately clean as the pool was cleaned daily.
The pool bar's menu was very extensive and was of reasonable value. The food was tasty ! Also, the staff are also very friendly and are always willing for a chat.
The nearby beach, (Makris Gialos) was only a short walk downhill from the San Lorenzo. The beach is truly stunning with crystal clear waters and white sands. There was also a well equipped supermarket at the bottom of the hill, which was reasonably priced and stocked all that you could possibly need.
Lassi itself has a wide selection of Bars and restaurants, with our personal favourites being Ionio, Trentis' Bar, Il Gabbiano restaurant and bar and the Eden bar. Whilst staying at Kefalonia, I would recommend trying the Kefalonian Meat Pie which was delicious from the Il Gabbiano. We have travelled to many European destinations and this one being Kefalonia tops the lot !

i have just returned from a 2 week holiday on Kefalonia and had a fantastic time. This complex really helped make it great.

The pool is 33m long and cleaned daily with lots of sun loungers around it.

The Rooms are basic but this greece and i think they are being updated over the winter. The rooms are cleaned every day. The grounds and gardens are very well maintained.

The staff are all very friendly and helpfull especally Nicki in the evening. This year they have stared to offer evening meal on the terrice which were very good and in my opinion you get the best view of the sunset from here.

There are other reviews that complained about the cost of the drinks but they had not increased form last year and i does not help the £ is so poor complared the the Euro

To sum up i have stayed in many self catering places and this is the best by far

The pool is fantastic and gorgeous views. Just the rightsize for apartment complex. Everything totally overpriced though, not just the San Lorenzo however, the whole of kefalonia is the same!€2 for a can of coke!! Rooms are basic but clean and the maid service is great! Nikki who is on the bar/reception at night is fab! The trip to the beach is a bit of a pain if you have kids, across the road and the access to it is very uneven and steep. Best access we found was next to the supermarket Lassi. More a couple retreat unless travelling in a group who also have kids. All in all though a great little resort.
