What a surprise the Korina was to us, from the moment we were dropped off by the transfer coach to the moment we were picked up to go home the owners and staff could not have done more.
This is a real gem of a place, the room we had must have been refurbished, very tastefully, quite recently.
The pool area was beautiful with what seemed hi spec furniture and accessories. The newly again tastefully refurbished breakfast room was a super place to take breakfast. One tip is to find out what times are the less busier in order to enjoy a quiter breakfast.
The rooms could not be cleaner with towels and bed linen changed at least every other day.
Thank you for one of the best Hotel stays we have had in the Greek Islands

Room Tip: Opt for the optional Air Con and you will not be disturbed by the early morning Cockerels because yo...

Having fallen in love with Greece and the Greek way of life from an early age, I have accepted their basic accommodation. I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of this hotel. The room was light and airy and decorated beautifully. The bed was bigger than a double and very comfortable! The bathroom was lovely, complete with power shower. My sister stayed in a family room which again was spacious. A travel cot was provided plus a pull out bed for my 3yr old niece.
The staff couldn't be more helpful. From Mandy running around doing the breakfasts (nothing is too much trouble) to Ang behind the bar, serving food and drinks, and owner Sophia and her beautiful family.
The pool area has sunbeds as well as very comfy beanbags (perfect for an afternoon siesta!)
I can't fault anything about this hotel and would recommend it to anyone seeking that little bit extra. We have already been pricing up for next year and wouldn't hesitate to return tomorrow if we could!

Just back from 2 lovely weeks in Thassos. The Korina Hotel is excellent value for money. Exceedingly clean, towels and sheets changed every other day. We requested and were given an upgrade to 3rd floor. certainly worthy of more than 2+ stars. Mandy as mentioned in other reviews is the hub of the hotel. Providing all sorts of information, this is inbetween cooking, displaying food and clearing up after humans and birds. Breakfast offers a good selection of food. The owners due to staying up late serving in the bar are not always available first thing - but Mandy is, with a smile. Only downside, barking dogs in the mornings but can be blocked out by ear plugs or air conditioning. Beach a little jammed with sun beds, generally free if drinks purchased from appropriate Taverna. Sea beautifully clear and beach clean. We enjoyed meals at a variety of Tavernas positioned overlooking the sea.Very little diference in prices but for quality and ambience Green Seas, Magic Coast (Paulina's laugh is something you must hear) and Captain's Table which although food excellent is rather too large. Beach good for children although no childs pool at hotel.

We have just returned from our first visit to Thassos and stayed at the Hotel Korina.

As is the norm these days and like everyone else, having the most powerful information tool known to man at our very fingertips, we looked long and hard at a variety of destinations, then having decided on Thassos, researched further until electing to go to The Korina.

This review confirms many of the points already covered by just about all who visit this wonderful hotel and is posted merely to confirm that the Korina is every bit as good as previous reviews suggest and by way of a thank you to all there in appreciation of making our holiday a very enjoyable and memorable one.

On arrival, we were delighted to be advised by Sofia that we received an upgrade, a very pleasant surprise indeed and were allocated room 311 which has to be the highest quality room we have had in all our years of Greek holidays.

Very spacious, lovely mountain view, an extremely comfortable bed, well furnished and tastefully decorated, air con, safety deposit box, small fridge, beautiful fully tiled bathroom with a shower that would not be out of place in any top UK hotel – absolutely divine.

Breakfast at The Korina is a vast array of just about everything you would expect to see all lovingly tended to by the very helpful and dedicated Mandy. The toaster has a charm all of it’s own.

A big shout to Ange at the pool bar for keeping us entertained with quality tunes and for ensuring we never went thirsty. Every pool bar should have an Ange.

The pool itself, is large, has clearly marked depth indicators and is surrounded by good quality comfortable sun loungers. Should the sun get too much for you, as well as the shade of the pool bar,a new shaded, covered, comfortable seating area is available.

The Korina is one of those magical places which are a rare find, a place where you instantly feel like a part of the family and on arrival immediately unwind from whatever trials and tribulations life has thrown at you back home.

Sofia & Dimitri, the charming owners, have it right and clearly have plans to make further enhancements on a regular basis.

The beach is a small flat walk away and lined with tavernas - they allow you the use of their sunbeds for the very reasonable price of a drink or two. As well as our daily order of 2 Frappuccinos, we were each given a bottle of water too.

Finally, eating out – a large and varied selection of tavernas/restaurants but undoubtedly the jewel in the culinary crown for us has to be La Terrasse at the Enavlion Hotel in Golden Beach where we ate 4 times. Lovely restaurant, great ambience, delicious food at prices that won’t break the bank. A 20-25 minute walk along the flat or a 6 euro taxi fare gets you there – miss it and regret it.

We would have no qualms recommending this hotel to anyone contemplating it – it does exactly what it says on the tin ( and then some ).

This was our second stay at the Hotel Korina, we last visited 2 years ago, and it remains as excellent now as it was then. Sofia and Dimitris and their lovely family are friendly, helpful and welcoming and recognised us as repeat guests which was lovely. Room was large, and modern, and the entire hotel continues to be really well kept and spotless. Angie at the pool bar, and Mandy at breakfast are good fun, friendly and efficient, and the quality of food and drink is excellent. Can't fault the hotel, would recommend to anyone, and will no doubt return again in the future. I've rated sleep quality on this review as average, as there was a dog and a cockerel across the road, which were quite vocal from early hours - but this isn't the fault of the hotel and can't be helped!

We have recently returned from our third stay at Hotel Korina and every year just gets better and better. Everywhere is so clean, tidy and tastefully decorated. We have stayed in three different rooms and each one has been lovely with a large comfortable bed, great shower room and stunning views from the balcony. Sofia and Dimitris ensure you have everything you need for the perfect holiday. Mandy prepares an excellent breakfast and a wonderful creamy porridge.... and Angie at the Pool Bar makes a fantastic mojito. The lovely cleaning ladies are always welcoming and happy. We cannot fault this hotel and the wonderful surroundings. We are looking forward to visiting again next year!
