“Loved it - Will recommend it to anyone.”

The management at Highfield house allowed us to check in early after an over-night flight from the states. They even welcomed us with tea, crumpets and brown bread with butter and jam. The brown bread was especially good - the best that we encountered in Ireland. Our room was nicely furnished and comfortable. The B&B is only a short (200 yards) walk from Trim Castle. Several nice restaurants are also within easy walking distance. We only stayed one night at Highfield House but if we had known how nice it is we would have scheduled a longer stay. We would recommend this place to anyone visiting Ireland.

Highfield House is not only in a perfect location to see Newgrange, the Boyne Region and Trim, it offers a warm, friendly accommodation in a beautiful home. Geraldine and her staff are incredibly helpful and on both occasions where I've stayed, my only regret is that I had to leave.

We stayed for two nights here and had a fantastic time! We had been traveling for quite sometime and when we arrived, our host gave us tea and scones! It was fantastic! The house is amazingly decorated and felt as though we were staying in an 19th century home. We had fantastic conversations with our fellow travelers at the large breakfast table and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Highfield House was perfect for our stay in Trim. Geraldine was the perfect hostess and provide a great recommendation for dinner in Trim and what to do in the area. B&B is within walking distance of the castle and everything in Trim. Breakfast was yummy and a great start ot our day in Trim. Thank you,

My husband, children (ages 5 and almost 3) stayed here for 2 nights and were very happy with everything about it. The rooms and common areas were very nicely appointed. Everything was very clean. The grounds, with garden and outdoor seating area, were particularly lovely. The owner was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was extensive and delicious.

Just one small negative. While I found the bed we had very comfortable, my husband thought it was terribly uncomfortable. I have no explanation for this discrepency in our perceptions!

The town of Trim was really pleasant, small and quiet with nice walks by the castle and along the river. It was also very convenient for visiting Newgrange and for getting to the airport.

We stayed here with friends for eight days for a world wide golf championship. Its a beautiful house with wonderfully decorated. Friendly, very clean and on site parking. As the golf started at 0830 there were many mornings Geraldine and her husband got up to do 6.30am breakfasts with out fus (alot of B&Bs refused this request) and whether it was 6.30am or 8.30am, the breakfast was the same good quality. They were so kind and helpful to all of us. We took up 6 rooms and I saw all of them and they were all different sorts and sizes, so bound to have what you require. This was actually our second stay here, having stayed for another golf do about 8yrs ago and we would return again without hesitation.

Room Tip: Just explain exactly in detail what you want.
