“Wonderful!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014 via mobile

Even though we arrived at the B&B without booking a room, we got offered a wonderful one by the pleasant landlady and her team. We were offered perfect service including a perfectly cleaned and lovely furnished room with view towards the Isle of Capri, a delicious breakfast with homemade cake, fresh yoghurt (the best I have ever eaten...), croissants etc. whatever you wish to have. Generally the lady does everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and we can really recommend this accommodation. With the experience of testing many B&Bs in Italy we can say that this was the best we have ever had. Very good is also the proximity to a regular bus connection to Sorrento and a very central position in the town, but it is a very quiet place nevertheless.
Thanks for having us and I hope many of you reading this will stay there. Every success is well deserved. :-)

We have just returned from staying for a week at Villa Titina. On our arrival we received a very warm welcome from Tiziana, her mother and Francesca, who were all very friendly and genuinely helpful in every way they could be during our stay. It is a family run hotel, which is spotlessly clean throughout, with pleasant grounds and pool area. A choice of continental breakfast is offered and can be served either in your room or under the leafy covered pergola near the pool. Our room (201) on the second floor, was large with a comfortable king size bed and had a spacious balcony with views towards Capri. The linen is changed regularly and the towels daily. The room has a small fridge and wi fi is available. There are plenty of restaurants nearby,Tiziana recommended some to us, which were so good that we returned again.

Tiziana was very kind and helpful when my husband unfortunately became ill after a trip to Sorrento. She showed genuine concern, offering to go with me to the Pharmacy to help with communication and brought complimentary refreshments to our room for two days, until he recovered.

Sant' Agata is a lovely authentic place to stay, with lots of restaurants near Villa Titina. There are plenty of reasonably priced facilities nearby.

We enjoyed the short ten minute walk up to the view point near the monastery, where there are panoramic views of the bay of Naples. During our stay we also walked to Sorrento, it's all a gentle winding downhill slope and takes about an hour or so. We got the sightseeing bus back (uphill) to Sant' Agata and there's also a local bus too. The walk to Termini is a pleasant one and takes just over an hour. We stopped for lunch at Mira Capri restaurant and stayed about two hours as the scenary is stunning with clear views over Capri, definitely recommended.

We enjoyed days out at Positana, Pompeii and Herculaneum. Tiziana can help with information and advice about trips such as Capri etc.

Tiziana is an excellent host, she is very kind and genuinely cares about her guests. We arrived at Villa Titina as guests and left as friends.

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear have views of Capri and are quieter than at the front, which overlook the road.

My partner and I stayed at Villa Titina in September and agree with other reviewers that this is a very special place to stay. Tiziana, the owner, was extremely accommodating, informative and friendly, she even went searching for gluten free bread etc for our breakfasts. The rooms are very large with outstanding views of Capri from the balcony also they are very clean and comfortable. Very handy to local restaurants. Tiziana and her mother made us feel so welcome and the home made jams with breakfast in the garden was very special, we wish we had stayed longer. We would not consider staying anywhere else when next in the region. Tiziana is a hostess who really cares about her guests.

Due to several delays we arrived at Villa Titina close to midnight. Tiziana was waiting for us and made our arrival a very pleasurable experience given the late hour. The room we were given was of a good size and well appointed with space for a small lounge area, fridge, room safe and very clean throughout. Excellent shower and bathroom facilities. The large balcony was a big bonus where we were able to have our breakfast while watching the boats around Capri. Excellent coffee, homemade cake and selection of bread/pastries/cheese/yoghurt/ cereal on request. Was also the place to be at sunset sipping a local limoncello. Aside from being the perfect hotess Tiziana is also a good guide to what to see and do, how to get there for the surrounding region. Have no hesitation in recommending Villa Titina as a good base for exploring the Amalfi Coast. Besides being an excellent place to stay it is also just a short walk to the exceptional Don Alfonso's restaurant.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the pool area as the rooms facing the street can be affected by noise on the w...

OK, i realize this is not a full blown hotel, but the rooms we stayed in (nice, good view , but noisy- and somewhat dark as lights set too low) were on the second floor with no lift and we had to carry our bags up and down ...breakfast is a Fawlty Towers sort of affair -and earliest serving of a laboriously written down order the night before is at 8.30 which may be fine for lie-in types but definitely not for us.The lady who runs it is nice but this place will struggle without a lift, a porter or a breakfast that is served at a normal earlier hour.

After a LONG hike over the hills from Positano, we landed in Sant'Agata and to our "upgrade" accommodation at Villa Titina. Our experience mirrors others written; the place is lovely, well appointed, and Titiana is an excellent hostess. We enjoyed a gorgeous sunset over Capri from our second floor balcony (third floor would have eliminated a tree in the way). The quality of bedding and towels, soap, etc was first class. The location is convenient for Don Alfonso (Titiana's uncle) across the street and several other trip advisor favorites for dinner. Best of all, my very tired wife felt pampered! Breakfast in the morning was fairly standard, but was delivered to the room or to the patio.

The positive reviews are all true. Tiziana was charming and I could practice both Italian and French with her;-) We didn't bother hiring a car and we're glad after hearing a couple of horror stories from people. Best day out was the walk down to Torca and the beach at Crapula. Get the lady in the shop in the village to make you a sandwich and take plenty of water for the steep descent and climb back up because there's nothing there. It was worth the effort.
