We were visiting Lake Garda with a couple of friends and looked for a hotel on the lake for 2 nights.
Based on the reviews on TA we stepped in this hotel and we were not disappointed. On the contrary - the location of this hotel is perfect. The hotel overlooks the lago and has very large balconies to watch the beautiful views.

It is very close to the ferry stand that goes up and down the lake to the other villages. It is also in walking distance to the center and the shops and very close to the hotel are some great restaurants worth trying.

The service was PERFECT, all the staff are very helpfull and really go out of their way to help and assist the guests.
Rooms are spacious and clean and the breakfast was excellent with a very large variety to chose from.
Very recommended hotel and no doubt that we will be here again!

Me and my girlfriend stayed here from the 1st April for 5 nights. We arrived by car and found the hotel with relative ease, as other reviewers have said you have to call the hotel from the end of the promenade using the intercom. We parked right outside and Filipo helped us with our bags we stayed in room 21 which was a lake view room. Views were fantastic, room was very clean, and well equipped (mini bar, air con, hairdryer etc.). The hotel was quiet because of the time we stayed however there was always a full breakfast spread of fresh fruit, meats and bread. Scrambled eggs were provided if you asked. We parked our car in the multi story about a 5 min walk away which the hotel have a special deal with so you can park there fore 7 euros a day paid directly to the hotel at the end of your stay. I would highly recommend this hotel, we had a lovely stay and Salo itself is a lovely little town!

Thank you so much!

We stayed for four nights at the beginning of April 2013 in a spacious and luxury lake-view bedroom. The hotel is everything you would expect - scrupulously clean, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The location, a few yards from the boat stop with a stunning view across the Gulf of Salo, is a bonus. The breakfast buffet is second to none with a range of options from bread, croissants, cereals, muesli, cheeses, ham, fresh fruit, dried fruit and a full complement of drinks including Prosecco to make bucks fizz should you chose. The scrambled eggs, a bespoke item, were a joy. However where this hotel really excels is the level of service from Filippo and his staff - always attentive, never intrusive, uncompromisingly reliable, genuinely warm and helpful. A bulb went in the bathroom. They promised to replace it immediately. They did. We had an early flight from Verona. They promised to sort out our transport arrangements. They did - and Filippo went the extra mile to help. Our room was equipped with a shower which was perfect - spacious, powerful and hot. If I had asked whether it would have been possible to replace the redundant bidet with a bath, it would not have surprised me if plumbers were summoned and one fitted by the end of the day. From the sound level on the TV in the living area to the temperature of the Sambuca (lovingly prepared the Italian way), nothing escaped the meticulous care of the staff. This is a family run business and it shows. They really do care and are very good at it. Being early in the season, it was very quiet and this no doubt assisted the quality of service delivered. There is however a genuine commitment to guests which I'm sure would be apparent also at busy times. Bravo Hotel Vigna.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Vigna to celebrate my birthday last weekend. We chose the holiday using the tripadvisor reviews as a guide.I can honestly say that I have never received such amazing service and attention to detail. The hotel has 30 rooms and ours was a room at the front of the hotel looking out on stunning views of lake Garda. When we arrived, Fillipo gave us a lovely welcome and kindly offered to park the car for us. The bed was far larger than our king sized bed at home and incredibly comfortable. We could adjust the temperature in the room ourselves. For breakfast there was a delicious choice of meats, eggs, breads, pastries, cereals and fresh and dried fruit. This filled us up so we only wanted a small snack at midday ( try the gelato in the square behind the hotel next to the church-amazingly good). Our initial concerns that there were no tea making facilities in the room turned out not to be a problem as a tray was brought to us whenever we requested it. All in all, we will look back on our stay with great memories and hope to return.

Spent four days, location is great, soundproof window towards the lake are really good, especially if the weather is good, as it can be loud into the night along the lungolago. The team is attentive, friendly and helpful. In all I would definitely stay there again and suggest it to others.
