“Great week skiing”
Reviewed 19 January 2014

Stayed here for a week from the 5th January 2014. With the wife, myself and two daughters (4 & 7 years old).

We had a great time!! We had adjoining rooms with the kids in one room and us in the other. Don't think we would have liked it with both kids staying In the same room, maybe be ok if you had just the one.

With having the two rooms we had plenty of room for all our belongings. The rooms were clean, the only thing we noticed that some nights the room would get really hot, you needed to open a window believe it or not.

Fresh towels everyday from the maid service.

We thought the food was excellent. If you didn't fancy anything from the menu for that day they would be more than happy to make you something you would want.
Staff were really good, our server Angelo looked after us really well for the whole week.

The facilities were also excellent, swimming pool, jacuzzi , steam room etc...were great place to relax after a day of skiing.

The hotel has the best location in the resort! 200 yards from the chairlift.

If your an intermediate skier like myself and have children then this place is perfect for you. The blue runs are really good fun, great for the kids.
I did the 3 day ski school. And by the middle of the week managed my first black run, the one that comes down from the glacier.

The kids did the 6 day ski school and loved it.
Conditions were amazing when we first got there, people were saying it's the best they have seen and this is from people who have skied all around the world.

This was our first ski holiday, and we are already looking to book again for next year.

Our whole party was of 7 people and we could not understand the recent reviews that other people have made
Some people just want to complain for the sake of complaining.
Few issues I would like to raise...
Food was appalling? Well either that person eats 5 stars meals every night or us Scottish folk have no standards when it comes to eating.
Waiters spoke English no problem, maybe it was your English they didn't understand?

Ski room out dated?? It's a place to put your wet skis and boots in....they are dry in the morning. What more do you want?? Nothing wrong with the ski room.

I've heard from the more experienced skiers/ snowboarders than yes the runs compared to elsewhere like France, Switzerland etc are easier.

BUT AS STATED ON THE WEBSITE ITS IDEAL FOR BEGINNERS AND INTERMEDIATES.

If you want more advanced runs then look elsewhere!

In February 2013 we hired the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suite on a full board basis at this hotel. The suite was lovely in appearance, although it did lack drawers and chairs and beds in the second bedroom are of substandard quality. To make matter worse the suite is on the 4th floor and the lift only reaches the third floor: no-one is prepared to help and there is no trolley available. Reception staff were rude in more than one occasion. Food was appalling and I have heard the same comments from other people that have stayed there in December 2013.
The only saving grace was the children club: vast, clean, well manned and well run and of great support to families

Room Tip: Avoid the suite and eat out.

Pros: Good location, excelent spa.

Cons: crumpy and lod rooms in one of the nights heating didn't work (and the service was very rude when I asked that an additional blanket will be sent to me), food was not good but not horrible as well (there was plenty of it), ski-room is a disgrace you have to go down the stairs to a room which was not renovated since the 60's - feels like being in prison cages - I preferred to keep my equipment in the room.

Stayed there during Feb. 2013 with my grandchildren who attanded ski school. I oredered 2 upgraded rooms or a suit. Initially I was given 2 rooms at different floors - looking like a cell.
After negotiation I got two conected rooms and was offered to pay additional 800 euro per week if I want a suit- although I paid for it initialy. Rooms at the 2nd floor were realy small and the beds are Junior type. Food was not tasty and waiter spoke no English - so we ordered one thing and got a completly different thing. This is definintly not a 4 star hotel.
On the good side - the location across the street from the lift, nice spa and swimming pool.
This ski area is very good for beginners - blue slops are realy green and red slopes are realy blue and there are realy no black slope.

Room Tip: rooms at the second floor are very small and noisy.

My daughter returned from a fabulous week of skiing with her school minus one of her precious electrical gadgets which had been left in her room. I emailed the hotel and to ask if the item had been found (expecting a negative reply). I almost immediately heard back from Walter Delpero who very kindly offered to mail the item back to us in the UK. He did this without delay and the item arrived back with us yesterday. I wrote to Walter to thank him and told him that we had received the parcel, offering to reimburse the postage. He wouldn't hear of it merely suggesting that if we ever came to the hotel we could have a celebratory drink - what a lovely gesture and a very kind man. This is so unusual with hotels these days - especially those who deal with large parties of school children. I would certainly recommend this hotel to other school ski trip parties!

Stayed here during a week skiing trip.

2 hours drive into the mountain gets you there. A few shops nearby but most important the ski area and lifts are right across the road, so excellent location .

Staff are pleasant enough but some are not hot on English.

Rooms are quite dated and need a refresh, basic facilities And not huge either.

Food is hot and served on time, no problems there .

Would stay here if u want average rooms etc and great location, otherwise look elsewhere for more up market but not so close to ski.

The Miramonti is conveniently located across the road from the lifts and less walking distance from mini supermarket and surrounded by restaurnts. .
The rooms are a bit shabby but clean. Its ok compare to other ski resorts but not when you accept to get 4 stars hotel.
The first night it was cold at the rooms and many other rooms complained about it, but it was due to the central heating and the only solution was an extra blanket.
They have a great spa!! Big a comfortable with many sauna rooms and it’s a great relaxing after a long day of ski. We booked a package holiday with Crystal, who were very well organized.
Food was ok a big buffet with many salad but we found out that if you come 45 minutes after they open the dinning room- there is hardly food lest, since they don’t renew the empty try.
they had problem all the time with the internebt so don't account on the wii for contact with family.
