We stopped in a little village called Riolo quite near by which had it's own pizza oven & were recommended to get our pizza bases from here. Ilario was so welcoming & helpful, we decided we would repay his kindness with a visit on our last full day on holiday. There was something to look at everywhere in the restaurant & the collection of miniature bottles was something else. The menu (with English translation) was vast & deciding what to have was very difficult. In the end I opted for a wild mushroom maccheroni ( the spelling may be wrong but it was not macaroni pasta). The actual pasta was thin strips about 2 cm wide & they just melted in your mouth. The sauce was absolutely delicious. My daughter had penne carbonara & said it was the best she'd ever had. Her cousin & his girlfriend agreed. The rest of our party had a variety of pizzas, all with plentiful toppings, looking & smelling delicious. It was just a shame we were too full to test out the desserts. Maybe next time. Ilario was a delight & constantly running around checking eveyone was ok. If I'm ever back this way, I will definitely go again.
