I am an expat living in Florence, Italy and this past weekend I had relatives come to visit. We decided to stay at this amazing agriturism for three days. It was a true dream holiday. All around us was like we were living in a painting. The location was perfect (1 km from Pienza) and half way between Montepulciano and Montalcino. Great cantine all along the way where you can buy Brunello and Nobile di Montepulciano. The place was very clean and very comfortable. They offered an amazing breakfast including homemade cakes. They have their own oil and we got to visit their oil mill and what a place!!! This agriturism basically lives off the grid. With all the remains of the olives (pits, branches, leaves) they are able to produce their own energy! Not only were we staying in an amazingly beautiful place but also very forward looking. Truely amazing!! Very corteous staff (family owned) lovely large apartments complete with kitchens. They also had a gorgeous pool that unfortunately this time of year was not in use however, if I ever plan a short holiday with friends or family in the summer I would go back there in a heartbeat. I highly recommend this place for people who love Tuscany and are interested in the forward looking mentality of this family regarding the preservation and evolution of their farmland.

The rooms are huge, the beds soft, the shower hot. The hosts welcoming with hone made breakfasts, fresh coffee and their own wine, olive oil and pecorino cheese. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights stay. It's a perfect base for Pienza and Valle D'Orcia.
Francesco's recommendations for local restaurants were great

This gem of a place made a mid January visit to Tuscany the perfect weekend getaway! The warm and welcoming family, including Francesco, his wife and mother and father made us feel like we were home. Francesco speaks English and will delight you with some wonderful stories. He was very helpful in planning a cooking course for us in their kitchen, which will always be a highlight of our trip. Homemade breakfast was the perfect start to each day with views of the rolling Tuscan hills. The room decor makes for a perfect Tuscan setting - wines, prosecco, and olive oil are all available in rooms and delicious. The location a few minutes from Pienza town center is perfect for daytrips to Montepulciano and Montalcino - Vino Nobile and Brunello!! Thank you Francesco and family - I look forward to returning very soon!

We had a wonderful time in Pienza with Francesco and his family. The accommodations were very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast included homemade cakes, cheese, and panna cotta with fruit...yummy! A perfect place to stay for a Tuscan vacation.
The location is convenient to many of the finest wineries in the region. Daytrips to Montalcino and Montepulciano were easy drives from the Agriturismo. The olive oil produced by Fregoli is delicious.
They also arranged a cooking class for our group on location. It was professionally done, with a touch of family added in.
I have stayed in many locations all over Italy and I highly recommend this one. I plan on returning with my family soon.

The rooms are clean, spacious and reasonably priced. The property is beautiful. Breakfast is very nice. But all of that was overshadowed by the poor check in process. We arrived around 2 pm. The email we received indicated check in was after 2:30pm. I sent two emails over several months asking if we could check in early and I received no response. This was a pattern even while I tried to make a reservation. Email responsiveness is very poor. When we arrived, no one was there. We waited, and someone did arrive a little before 2:30 but we were still a little irritated. We were shown the room we requested, La Capriata, and that was confirmed via email. We were very impressed with the size of the room and very excited about the beautiful room. We began unpacking only to hear a knock on the door. The lady that checked us in had returned to tell us we had to move to another room. I showed her the email confirmation but her English was limited so she called Francesco on her cell phone. He explained that he sent me an email that the room had been changed. I never received an email. He said he would resend it later that day. I never did receive it. We were moved to the Le Torre room. It was nice but not the room we wanted or reserved. The whole issue really ruined the experience at this agritourismo. If you don't really care about dependable communication in advance, will take any available room or don't need a host living onsite for assistance, this will be fine. I would not stay here again and won't recommend to anyone else.

Great place - rustic but sophisticated and lots of room ! We had a room on the first floor that had a great view from Tuscany. Breakfast was also very good. Can`t say much about the pool as didn`t use it.
Close to Val D'Orcia cities but especially close to Pienza. Owner recommended 2 great restaurants !

Wow! What can I say. The scenery around the property is just so beautiful that is beyond description. The host Francesco is a great guy -- chatty and informative. There is really nothing we can complain about -- the location is marvellous, well within reach from Montalcino, Montepulcino and areas south of Pienza. The room is spotless and the breakfast sumptuous (by Italian standard). Go there, you won't be disappointed. Just make sure you book in good advance as the rooms go fast.
