Located in the small town of Pienza IT in Tuscany this is more than a restaurant - it is as if you have been invited into the home of a happy Italian family. Brothers Mauro and Angelo great you (in English if that is your preference) and deliver the fresh, local food to your table. The local pasta - Picci - is hand made every morning by their mother. We dined 2 nights in a row and between the 4 of us tried almost everything on the menu and it was all delicious. NOTE: only 8-10 tables so you do need to make a reservation unless you go early when they open at 7pm.

Recommended by our hotel. A small local place with very good food. Wonderful home made pastas. The sliced sirloin steak was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. The owner is very friendly and speaks good English. Be sure to reserve ahead, there are only about 8 tables and they fill up.

Four of us dined here on a wet and cold evening in June. It was a good job we booked as the Maître Di turned away a number of couples looking for a warm place to eat.
We were welcomed by the waiters and afforded good and friendly service throughout the evening. We chose the crepes with zucchini and cheese; the taste markedly improved as the dish cooled. We enjoyed the bruschetta pomodoro and one of our party ordered the cheese plate which she said was wonderful. We ordered the deep fried lamb along with a side dish of green beans....very tasty!
Save yourself a little room for dolce as the panacotta is to die for!

We were recommended this spot by our hotel. A quaint restaurant, with only a few tables. For our lunch we split the grilled vegetables as a starter (great balsamic glaze), and then my wife had the crepes and I ventured for the rabbit (first time). All was tasty washed down with the house wine. Definitely a solid place to visit!
