“Great surprise!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 June 2013

We weren't expecting much as we walked in. Perhaps because we only went here as another restaurant was full for the night. But I'm glad we did, what a great surprise! Food was great and service was nice. Very traditional restaurant. Recommended.

“Paper thin pizza”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2013 via mobile

We walked by one day at 4pm and wanted to have pizza as afternoon snack. They open the restaurant just to make 2 pizza for us. It's too bad that we didn't have a chance to go back for a proper meal. The pizza was simple but memorable.

“traditional and delicious”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2013

We visited this place twice, we had a lunch and a dinner here. Both at lunch and dinner time it was full and especially visited by local residents. Nevertheless, we got a table in 10 minutes both times. There is a wide range of local specialities. The wild boar steak and "pici al sugo di lepre " (noodles with rabbit ragu) unforgettable, we highly recommend it!
On the other hand the atmosphere is not special, simple and friendly but don't rely on romantic candlelight.

“Worth of visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 September 2012

Many of the Pienza's restaurants are really small and that was the reason why our group of 6 person was not able to find free seats there. We were planned to go somewhere else to have a lunch, but on our way to parking place we found this a little bit bigger restaurant.

There seemed to be quite many locals to have their lunch, which often means good food and reasonable prices. That was also the case this time. The pastas and salads were fresh with tasty sauces. The service fast and friendly. It is just enough for an ordinary lunch.

If you to eat in more spacious place than those in the old town this is a good choice - not an unforgettable experience, but a little bit better than average.

“Casual classics”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 November 2011

As some previous reviews have noted, the decor is simple, the menu traditional. If you're looking for a see and be seen place, keep looking.
However, if your looking for fresh, regional fare with traditional/simple preparation at fair/value prices, I'd recommend this trattoria!
Very much enjoyed the tartufo e pecorino pasta. Pasta clearly was fresh, homemade.
Service was very enjoyable as well.
