This is an exceptional villa and property in the heart of Tuscany that we highly recommend to anyone who is planning to visit the area with family / friends and looking for a outstanding experience to share with a group. We were a party of 15 (three families travelling together) and rented the entire villa for a week and the place is so spacious we still had three bedrooms to spare. Host/owner Giuseppe Savignano made sure that we had a memorable week and that we were well take care of during out stay. The location is very convenient for day trips to the many historic Tuscan villages in the area, but each day always started and ended with great food and service from Giuseppe and his staff. There is plenty of land on the villa, so in addition to the rare (for Europe) luxury of having a pool to unwind at the end of the day (a major plus if travelling with kids like we were), the vineyard and olive trees on the property makes for scenic walks through a hillside that overlooks Pienza. The two nights that we decided to eat dinner in the nearby villages, Giuseppe made excellent recommendations and arranged for our reservations, and the other five nights Giuseppe arranged for outstanding Tuscan meals prepared by the staff and served family-style on the patio. A very special place that we plan to re-visit soon.

I cannot say enough good things about Tenuto Santo Pietro. Giuseppe and Natalia Sangovese who own and run the place are so kind, generous, and knowledgeable. The views from the many common spaces are incredible. Our food was stellar. Giuseppe set us up with dinner reservations whenever we wished all around the area, as well as suggesting lovely walks, wine-tastings (with phone calls to reserve as well). Don't miss their own wine cellar.

We stayed for 6 nights. Good location for day trips around the hill towns of Tuscany. The owner makes you feel like it's your home during your stay. Come and go as you please. All the reviews sum it up. You have alot of places to stay in this area and we feel this is one of the top ones.

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms overlooking the vineyard and Pienza on the pool side

My husband and I were extremely lucky traveling in May and accidently found Tenuta Santo Pietro. We stayed several days and didn't want to leave. The house is like walking into "Architectual Digest" and the rooms and plumbing are updated with beautiful and modern fixtures. The chef prepared a wonderful meal. Giuseppe is so fun to talk with, is passionate about the land, and gave us many tips for our adventures. People and places like this make your travels special. Will definitely recommend and be back.
