My wife and I were staying at Chiarentana at La Foce (fabulous), and decided to dine at Dopolavoro, just down the street. Great views from parking lot across the street, and pictureque outdoor seating if weather permits. The interior looks brand new, although tied to the La Foce history if you care to research. Although a good spot for couples, the atmosphere and menu seemed very family friendly. We split the mixed grill and vegetables; all were nicely done. Service was very attentive and friendly. All around, a great stop!

Our family of four enjoyed a wonderful light dinner here after a long day spent in the car. The service was professional and welcoming, and the food was delicious. The lovely homemade bread basket and cheese/meat platter were excellent, but the highlight was the savory chickpea soup, with plenty of fresh rosemary. We liked it so much we asked for the recipe!

Passed through with a group of friends to see the surroundings...and stopped for a late lunch.
Il Dopolavoro and Asia were great and the various local dishes BBq-home made pasta and mainly the Panino's -amazing- helped finished the day in style.
The atmosphere nicely hosted by the staff was relaxing and satisfying. The wine is local and already well known making this surely a stop by again.

The Tuscan landscape surrounding this restaurant, complete with a stone castle crowning the hill above the terrace, was the star of the show here. For 28€, we had a bottle of water, a caffe, 2 very generous glasses of wine (one each Montalcino and Montepulciano), a dish of gnocchi with thyme, ricotta, and pumpkin sauce and a green salad that included shaved fennel and radicchio. Seated on a patio bordered by olive trees, flowers, and herbs, it was easy to justify a lunch that was not amazing but was reasonably priced and delivered with professional service. This is especially true because we were in the area to take advantage of the weekly tours of the spectacular garden at La Foce that the Origo family graciously conducts on their estate, sharing nearly a century of history and their dedication to beauty and to the community that continues to inspire.

Mistchratzerli is the swss-german expression for cockerel! It was done in the oven spiced with natural herbs. It was done very well and accompanied with their garden mixed salad a treat. Definitely the best place to eat chicken in this zone. Many Auto-Manufacturers have used the surrounding scenery to introduce their new models. When we entere at 1.00 pm not all tables were occupied but within 30 minutes there was no empty table to see. Unfortunately it shut for Winter Yesterday.
