We had lunch here on a hot summer day. Only inside seating for lunch, but that was ok, given the temperatures. We were very pleasantly surprised with the menu (though no pizzas for lunch) and the prices.
Had a good lunch, including 3 bottles of water and a caraf house wine for less than 75 euros for 4 persons.
Definitely worth a try!

Ate here twice - first time with a group of 12, service a little slow to start off but to be fait, restaurant was starting to get busy.
Pizza and pastas are delicious. Deserts average. Excellent value for money, great if taking small children also, family friendly and you could easily eat here every night if on a small budget.

Second time - we ordered take away pizza for 12 people again - staff very accommodating and service prompt. While we were waiting we had large beers - discounted for us which was really nice of them to do.

We will continue to return when we visit next.

I have been to Italy dozens of times and eaten in many many restaurants.
The food at Bocca d'Ersa was excelllent. Fresh and creative and the service was excellent. We ate here twice on our 5 day visit to the region. The first time we had several fo the fish dishes. The carpaccio of swrodfish was so fresh and light. The pane e pesce was like eating at mama's. The mussel and clam soup was as good as any I have eaten in a seaside town. The second time we visited, we had the steak florentine as a main course. It was cooked perfectly medium rare. Tender and deliscious , served with sauteed spinach and a salad. Then there were the desserts! I love to bake and am quite picky about my desserts. They brought us a smapler plate. Each dessert better the next..tiramisu, cheescake so light and fluffy( better than NYC!) , profiteroles( as good as in Paris) and a lovely berry and whipped cream cake. The wine selection was extensive and we were pleased with the prosecco, Brunello and apertif ! The waitress was attentive and friendly and even let me speak my horrible Italian. The chef and his wife(owners) greeted us and checked in with us to see we were enjoying the meal. Truly very memorable meals!

The reception in our hotel recommended us to go to Bocca D'Ersa after we was looking for a good local resturant. All the dishes we ordered were good and tasty and pretty big too. we enjoyed the dish with the steamed mussels with pepper and the sea food mix with rice, the veal escalope with the portchini mushrooms was amazing too. All the sea food were fresh and good, the meat also. the staff was really nice and helped us inspite of the language difficulties. Also we likes the desserts, the choclate pudding with liquer and the tiramisu. The prices where fair too(7/8 euro for large bowl of mussels) In the end of our meal, after asking for a check the waiter gave us a frozen bottle of limoncello with two small glasses, a local lemon liquer. It was refreshing and a good ending to our wonderfull dinner.

We weren't expecting much when we entered but were we surprised. Friendly, helpful and very god food. Besides pizza must patrons were having meals with fish and these were locals . This is usually a good sign of a very good restaurant. My wife had the octopus soup and said it was the best she had.
I wasn't as adventuresome & had my favorite onion soup. This was followed by walnut ravioli for me and my wife only wanted an arugala salad.
The wait staff were efficient yet extremely pleasant and very helpful, even helping us with our Italian. They were proficient on English as well. We spent pver 2 hours there but never felt rushed. The table could have been our for the evening.
