Le Terre di Isa
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 7 August 2014

We stayed in the hotel for 2,5 weeks and experienced it as the most hospitable hotels we've stayed so far.

HOSPITALITY A++
The owners of the Agriturismo (Isabella and Massimo) will do everything they can to ensure their guests a happy stay. Now I hear you thinking: give me an example so here we go. The'll have a friendly chat with you whenever they can to check if everything is fine. In our case these were simple things like: can the baby please have a thicker mattress, a little fan, go here, reserve that etc. All taken care of.
But also bigger things like our baby unfortunately did not sleep too well because it was a different environment he was used to. They tried to keep all customers happy in a very friendly way by keeping the room next to ours free as much as possible to reduce the contact noise as much as possible in both directions.

LOCATION A+
Terre di Isa is located on the border between Tuscany and Umbria. Therefore many large cities are within a 1,5-hour drive reach like Perugia, Montepulciano, Orvieto, Trevi, Montefalco etc etc. But most importantly 5 minutes drive from the lake. If you like to go to a less touristic feel of Italy and enjoy good food this is one of the best places to have your home base.

HOTEL / APARTMENTS A++
The site is beautiful. A nice swimming pool, a little playground for the kids and some animals walking around. This was great for our little son to play around with and pet the animals (horse, donkey, and especially the little dog). And most importantly: everything was very clean. I've seen many hotels, for sure there was nothing to comment on.

FOOD A++
Isabella is a wonderful cook and they prepare some very good dinners on your request. Paying a very low fixed price including wine was a great concept. I can guarantee we tried many good restaurants in the environment to eat and this was the second best place out of the approximately 15 we ate, right in our hotel. On request she also gives cooking workshops which I recommend you take

SURE NO ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT?
Of course there is room for improvement, if not it would be strange, but it is not fair to rate this down. Reason for it is that the owners take all advices very seriously and solve it on the spot and if not later. I am sure Massimo is reading this right now and fix the more difficult advice I've given him. But the tip I have him for example was the wi-fi reception in our room. It was solt as a room with wifi, but they had 2 access points in the hotel and since our room was on the absolute end this was the only room with poor reception so you'd have to sit outside to receive it. But again this is probably fixed while typing this.

TLDR; (Too long didn't read)
For sure the best Agriturismo we've been. Highly recommendable, good food, nice place, good starting base for trips, and the owners will ensure your have the best trip to Italy ever.

Room Tip: Rooms are all very different for different needs, check the website from the Agriturismo to see what...

We stayed one week at Le Terre di Isa, 10 people from two families, aged from 10 to 75. We could not be more pleased with our vacation. The farm is beautifully located atop a hill, with cycling or hiking paths around. There are plenty of historical cities within an hour or so by car, and uncountable authentic restaurants where you eat like a god.

The house is fantastically charming, and the rooms are all individual with antique furniture and thought through to the very last detail - it's simply a stunning place. Very comfortable beds. It was very hot when we were there, but thanks to the pool we survived!

But what really made our stay was the hospitality, flexibility and friendliness of Isa and Massimo. Two nights, they lit the barbeque for us, for example, and we had family dinners all together.

We really appreciate them opening their house for us and we will be sure to be back!

Room Tip: All rooms are equally beautiful, they are all individually decorated with antique furniture and deta...

Had the pleasure of staying at Le Terre di Isa this summer. It is nicely located with a great pool, good host family and a horse and donkey that strolls around the garden entertaining kids and adults alike. The rooms are small as are the kitchens and living rooms in the apartments. Only 3 stars from me because of lack of AC, missing one extra bed for the first night, lack of warm Water in one of the Apartments and unstable Wifi. But pretty much small problems. It is still recommended - and Umbria is great.

This agriturismo is very special. The proprietors, Massimo and Isa share a warmth and interest in your visit that is very valuable. They gave us great destination suggestions and really added to the pleasure of our stay.
The whole facility is so beautiful, placed high in the Umbrian hills overlooking beautiful vistas.
Every spot within the house has a special character. You can tell the facility is a labor of love.
Be careful when finding the inn as the GPS cannot be trusted. The hosts will help. Listen to there directions!!

I went there with a group of my students last month. The place is absolutely lovely, well taken care of and Isabella and Massimo are the most welcoming hosts you could find, exactly what you would expect from an Italian family run B&B. My students are still talking about it. The loved everything and above all the lovely cookery class that we made with Isabella. I will definitely be back with my own family

Well done!

My friend and I recently stayed at this wonderful and charming agriturismo for six days at the beginning of July 2012. It is centrally located with easy access to the autostrada to explore the nearby Umbrian hill towns of Perugia, Assisi, etc. and even over to Tuscan towns like Siena. The owners Massimo and Isabella, and staff member Laura could not be nicer or more helpful. They look after you very well as if you were an extension of their own family. Even their two adorable dogs make you feel right at home. Massimo will help you plan your day trips and give you tips on where to go (and park!). The room that we had was very comfortable and spacious enough for more than two people. Once you are there, it is hard to leave.
