We discovered this place a few years ago and everytime we have gone we have been spoiled. As others have written, you cant drive right up to it, but need to walk down into the old walled town of Montoro. It is a pleasant and easy walk.

The best thing about il Feudo, is that they source their food very intelligently, mostly local, but I had some exquisite salmon, which I am very partial to, so the menu is far more complete than your run of the mill family restaurant.

The ambiance s charming, and the lady proprietor has excellent manners and makes all feel at home and welcome.

Highly recommended

Had lunch there, we were the only ones
We have been told the place is more frequented at diner time. Probably true and a better time to go there for a meal
Still our lunch was very good at resonable price

On our way to Umbria from Rome and we were hungry, so Montoro sounded like nice name and we found this little restaurant in a beautiful setting. The waitress was so welcoming and we had a table looking over a medieval bell tower.
The food was very good. The Feudo antipasto was more than sufficient for two people and very nice. We recommend the risotto with saffron, leek and crispy speck and the spicy pork with blackcurrants. The fresh grilled vegetables were really good too. The decor is delightful and we can only guess how lovely it must be when you can dine outside.

Discovering this place at night was magical and fun. I have to admit that getting there was part of the appeal, climbing the little hill and seeing the white dining tables and lamps on a terrace from below and knowing that that was most likely our destination. We opted to dine on the terrace which has a twinkly view of lights and the countryside beyond. The restaurant proper is adorable as well with wooden beams and rustic country charm and would be intimate and special in the cooler months. We had appetizers, simple bruschette which were diverse and tasty, and a cheese and marmalade plate that was sinful. Pizzas were ordered all around and are made with an extremely crispy, delicate, thin crust. For those that love this style of pizza which is typical in and around Rome, it was phenomenal. The sauce and toppings were fresh and tasty and I had no complaints, save one. Everything was great, but the service is terribly, terribly slow. Everyone was pleasant and kind, but it felt like pulling teeth to get more beverages and the wait for everything felt like clock watching. I was very please once I had my pizza, but some people may not have this kind of patience. If you're not starving and you want to try the pizza and also savor the atmosphere and view, give it a chance.

Il Feudo provides its guests the kind of food that keeps us returning to Italy, year after year. We didn’t have much competition for the attention of the family running this tiny restaurant in the equally tiny village of Montoro, on a nearby hill from the ancient town center of Narni – we were the only diners for Saturday lunch until an Italian couple arrived, just as our secondi piatti did. The restaurant did a wonderful job in preparing and presenting traditional Umbrian meals, and the price for our four-course repast, complete with a good Umbrian wine, was not unreasonable – roughly €30 each.
