Stayed here over Easter break. Walked to Casa Gaia from Marco Polo- sidewalks were not always available but it wasn't too far (approx. 2.5 miles). The color of the building helped us find it. Mr. Angelo was very helpful with bus travels and information. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was also clean and bigger than expected (even had a towel warmer!). There is a pizza parlor very close with delicious food! There is also an Aldi within walking distance. Recommend this place if you want to be nearby the Venice islands (very easy to get to via bus from this hotel) but want to save money on lodging. Only negative is that the wifi connection in our (corner upstairs) room wasn't that strong so we had to sit in the hallway for stronger connection point.

We spent two nights in Casa Gaia in July 2013, a family of two parents, children of 12, 10 and 2. We had a pleasant stay in two large-ceilinged, well-cleaned and air-conditioned rooms. The host, Mr. Angelo, was very helpful and kind. The area around the hotel is not interesting, as it is placed next to the main artery between Venice and Venice Airport. But the noise from the traffic was not disturbing. By bus there is a 15-minute trip to Venice.
The hotel can be somewhat difficult to spot although it is right next to the road. Look for a gas station (when approaching from the West) and about 200 m later you will see a large 'Rooms Zimmer etc. sign). We stayed during a weekend and you should bring supplies as no shops are open. A nice, local restaurant next to the hotel with a pleasant atmosphere, named "Colors" can be recommended. Very good value for money if you want a base for your visit to Venice.

I stayed at this hotel in October, arriving at night in Marco Polo. Located 5 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from Venice. Well refurbished large comfortable clean rooms, cozy bathroom , Wi fi. The room has tea and croissants as breakfast. Nearby there is a Lidl supermarket and many restaurants. The bus stop is across the street. At night prevents noise from the road

Just got back from a week in the Casa Gaia. Excellent break, local pizzeria (Colors) took care of food and wine needs; 15 min bus ride into Venice from right outside the door. Accommodation well up to standard, I was in room 7, ground floor, rear and a windows thickness from the outside tables of the restaurant next door which was shut as it is off season. Definitely going back

Room Tip: Upstairs and on the front

in spite of arriving at midnight, we were met at the door, our bags were carried up the stairs to a very clean and pleasant room. we left early the next morning to meet our cruise ship, which was a fairly short taxi ride, and had enjoyed a good sleep for a very reasonable, shall I say almost unheard of price for any place near Venice! I would definitely stay here again.
